Logitech K400 Plus Wireless Touch Keyboard - Black (920-007165) $49 (Was $59) + Delivery @ Umart (Price Match @ JB Hi-Fi)

390

Was in the market for one of these and came across this deal at Umart. Surcharges: 0% direct deposit, 0.9% card, 1% fee on all other payments including Google Pay & Apple Pay.

JB Hi-Fi happily price matched it and then I used the perks voucher to get it for $39 pickup. Pretty sweet price, might be ATL.

          Username (sort of) checks out?

The A don't stand for recent.

    • Wasn't that a pricing error?

        ATL is ATL.

Kid need a keyboard for school, too bad this is not Bluetooth.

    • The range and keys aren't all that great either.

    • -1

If it's not bluetooth what is it?

    • +2

My kids must be an old model, they don't have Bluetooth either.

      • -2

I'm just chuckling at the thought this guy who deleted his comment tried to make a USB C port joke about kids, and after hitting save, read it back to himself and thought "WTF am I doing with my life"

        • Huh? That's nothing to do with why I deleted it.

  • damn these keyboards keep going up in price aye

  • +4

This is a good media keyboard but it’s getting old and a Bluetooth or unifying version would be so much nicer

    • +1

"it’s getting old" - because keyboard design changes so often right

      • +3

Touchpads have advanced a lot on windows over the years, would be nice to have a wireless keyboard with a properly good touchpad.

I have a K400r, admitedly an older model, but the trackpad is woeful - very hard to use.
Keyboard is small too, so it depends what you want it for I guess.
I would want to try one of these before buying.

    • Doesn't it support the logi unifying (not bolt) receiver? My old k400 did (but not the k400+)

    • This IS a unifying version

      I have K400, K400R, K400+ , K600, Dinovo Edge
      K600 was the best one.

Only, 10 year old tech product that keeps going up in value.

  • There is one if these for $6 at an op shop near me but i have enough keyboards so i left it for some other lucky soul to find

horrible plastic junk. if you actually work all day on a keyboard, invest money into it. especially when you are on it 7.5 hours a day and 5 days a week. get a custom metal mechanical keyboard. it is night and day from this Logitech garbage.
    you deserve better.

This is mainly bought by people who want a keyboard with a touchpad for TV use, I just bought a similar keyboard with a touchpad for that very reason. I wish I could use the PC with the TV purely by controller, but Windows isn't there yet, this is a good compromise.

It's not a "good keyboard", but it is a decent enough keyboard with a touchpad and there aren't that many options out there.

I have good keyboards. For this purpose I want something slim that handles keyboard and mouse duty in one piece, that can sit in a drawer. Currently my MX Master and mechanically keyboard are far too clumsy for this task.

Wouldn't those customers buy a bluetooth model?

        • +1

Potentially. there just aren't many options without going generic chinese products. I have had stronger reliability with 2.4ghz adapters than bluetooth for this usage (also can access bios if needed), so Bluetooth is a nice to have but not a necessity for me.

The reality is that the Keyboard with Touchpad market was kinda abandoned 10 years ago so there aren't many choices.

I ended up with a Rii K18 s which does support bluetooth (arrives next week), but I plan to use the dongle. Likely would have gotten this instead.

    • By no means is this my everyday keyboard.

It goes into my toolkit backpack for tech support. Might only use this once a year but when I need it I REALLY need it.

    • You obviously don't understand the benefit of these keyboards. These are the keyboards of choice for geologists who need a keyboard when logging core at a drill rig in the sun for 12 hour days.

They they don't break easily, even with dirty hands, and the trackpad is extremely useful when paired with a panasonic toughpad.

Please suggest a suitable replacement at a similar or cheaper price?

  • Just had one of these die the other day (maybe 3y/o), used every few weeks with the TV. Wouldn't replace it for this price, the touchpad issues are quite annoying, let alone the spotty reception and lack of Bluetooth.

Probably gonna try the Rapoo E900T instead, as I'm not worried about key sizing on a product I rarely use, only $39 at the moment but I'm not in a rush so I'll wait for a decent price

  • Amazon AU has now discounted to $61.

Unless you live right near Umart and can pickup, cheapest postage from them for this item is $13, so $62 total.

Electricity price is so expensive, I jut paid $42 at the Super Charger to charge my EV just to get 250km. Hell my normal petrol SUV (Rav 4 Hybrid) does 1050km for $95 using Unleaded petrol. WTF is this, I can't afford to drive to Umart to pickup, too much in electricity cost. I will have to use petrol. What is going on with Super Charger electricity prices? Shouldn't EV cars be cheaper to run?

    • This like complaining you paid $80 for a steak dinner at a restaurant, when you could cook it yourself at home for $10.

      • Ye bru. But my electricity prices are 40 cents and that still makes my petrol Hybrid cheaper to run. I will see if I can order an electric scooter from Alibaba.

Is this the sim racer starter pack keyboard?

Another product from the far right…handed people.

  • -1

These are awesome for a keyboard that works and is light. Nothing ground breaking or anything to use regularly but beats using both a keyboard and mouse.

  • wow I wonder if OW Officeworks would price match it ? its 99 on their site - https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/logitech-k…

    • +1

Typically my experience has been OW don't price match MSY as they claim MSY deal with grey imports. Which is total horse shit.

  • I lost the usb dongle for a k400+, anyone knows where I can find a replacement?
