[iOS] Turns iPad into Professional Photo Booth with Live Print - FREE (Usually $12.99)

380

FULL VERSION - NO IN APP PURCHASE - ALL FEATURES ENABLED

We just launched our all in one photo booth app for iPad & iPad mini.

We made it free for the next 3 days so friends & family can easily download the app but also wanted to extend the offer to our OzBargain comrades as a pay back for all the bargains we have benefited from in the past.

Even if you don't think you will use the app, I highly recommend downloading it now so its on your iPad since its free (will be priced at AUD$12.99), comes in handy for birthdays, christenings and weddings.

Enjoy!

In brief:

  • Runs as a stand alone professional photo booth
  • Can add your own custom photo borders
  • Easy to use great for all ages
  • Guests can print directly from the app
  • Guests can also record a video message
  • All features enabled, no sneaky in app purchases
  • Tried and tested at live events

Installed it and looks quite well implemented although Im guessing its not unique?

    Some feedback:

You are probably already considering it but if not then a way for users to adjust the text on the custom templates would be great (within the app itself). Your help file says its possible to do this via the website but when I visited the site I could not find any way to do this (work in progress?).

Your website looks nice but the large opening image at the top is not intuitive, I feel like I should press the start button on the image of the ipad on screen (and actually did but nothing happened). There is no call to action in that first top section of the screen and its very large.

There is no LED flash on the iPad, and events are often run during evenings which will may result in grainy images. Consider offering some tips for lighting in your help section.

You know what would be really cool?? Some form of radio operated flash which could sync with the app, a bit of a search and I found this kickstarter project https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/joewalnes/nova-a-slim-w…. Perhaps it might even be possible to use a cable from the headphone jack to fire a remote flash?

I notice that your screen flashes a little inside the stage area when a photo is taken, perhaps you could flash the entire screen full white and this might help a little with lighting the subject (probably not enough but better than no lighting).

I'd personally be trying to get your app listed/advertised or reviewed on as many wedding related websites as possible, but you probably already know that.

Thanks for the info on "guided access", I didn't realise that was possible on my ipad. Good luck and thanks for the freebie.

+1 just for recognising how frustrating "free" apps are when loaded with in app purchases. Good job for calling this out.

Question, would you rather pay $1 upfront for a paid app without first testing it out, or download a free trial that can be unlocked for $1 to continue use past a certain limit?

  • says for 3 days but it isn't free.. Says $12.99 here. Looks intersting

    • Getting the same in iTunes here. Hmmmmmmm.

    • We have now marked this as expired.

Apologies for not doing it sooner, we were unsure what time/date apple iTunes updates their pricing.

Thanks to all in the OzBargain community for downloading the app, we reached 74 on the iTunes top charts for free iPad apps!

As a further thank you to everyone that downloaded the app we have just decided to run a competition/thank you reward where we will be giving away a full photo booth set up exclusive to ozbargain users, so watch this space, just testing a few products to see what works best.

Again, thanks to everyone that downloaded and we hope you get plenty of use out of our app at your next event.

Just a personal observation.. I buy a lot of apps and I wouldn't consider paying $12.99 for an app like this…actually I probably wouldn't pay $12.99 for many apps at all. A lot of this comes from being burnt buying apps that either aren't that good, or apps I use once and forget. How much would I expect to pay? maybe $4 or something. Not suggesting your app isn't worth it, but you know what they say, it is easier to sell a million of something for $1 than one of so,etching for $1million

    • Yep, I said fairly much exactly the same thing on youtube recently in regards to an app called Harmonywiz (brilliant music creation app, also around $13, do check it out if you are into music stuff). Seems they took the feedback the wrong way and deleted my post…. pretty bad PR considering I had actually been telling my muso friends about it.
