The Tinydeal page doesn't mention Xiaomi anywhere, no idea if they had changed it from time of sale. They do however suggest getting the app from http://download.helloklick.com/app Have you tried it? Though I personally dislike grabbing apps that aren't from the play store.
edit: no I haven't got one of these quick button dust cover thingy
i got mine today, it doesn't seem to work with google play ver. 'klick' like op but works using the one on their site. Is it fake then?

Ok, so literally the second I posted this, it started working… confirmed working on my Nexus 5 now.
- opened the app
- clicked it in
- message popped up whether it was Klick or Earphone. Selected Klick.
- Long pressed it, and another message popped up to select whether I wanted to use Klick or Google. I selected Klick and Always (c.a. Once Only).
- set up the settings in the app, now working.
Mine works with the google play app. This is for the xperia z1.
So is it fake or just not working?
