With ac franchise record I reckon watchdogs 3 would have all the mechanics right.
Yes. AC 3 got all the mechanics right. I particularly liked how I could stab a cougar with the hidden blades before the game had given me the hidden blades, and the protagonist couldn't move his mouth and open his eyes outside of a cutscene at the same time, NPC's get stuck in trees and tables frequently, and other associated glitches that I've since forgotten.
Sure these are glitches and not mechanics. But they're glitches that weren't in AC2.

Agreed, ac2 was superior to ac1 in every way but later iterations didn't improve much, 3 even moved backwards. Although the third ac game is actually brotherhood which was alright.
Black Flag I'd the pinnacle but 2 was the big evolution.

Square Enix games seem to drop really fast. Which is odd since generally they are quite good.
They were really good back in the old days, Final Fantasy
and the bouncer on PS2 was my favourite
They were so good that I recently watched a review called "Top Ten JRPG's that aren't Square Enix"
The fact that the specification exists means that Square Enix had a lot of the best JRPGs.
But JRPGs since then have lost their cachet.
This game looks good at the lower price. I wonder if it will get cheaper here
I'm tempted after reading reviews but will wait it out for bargain bin prices. The game is solid according to what I've read and many of the poor reviews seem to rate it as an action game which it is not (not that it was ever touted as one)

I'm 3/4 through this game ATM, it's nothing amazing, but a fun playthrough, reminds me of peter jackson's movie the frighteners…
Good to hear, I'm after a short fun game and this is very short at 6-8 hours to complete everything.
