You'd be hard pressed to extract much value out of this at all, with webjets' extreme fee-gouging.

    • +2

You can get $2.10 value to be exact
compulsory Webjet Processing Fee is $22.95
compulsory Webjet Price Guarantee is $14.95

those fees only apply to flights, not hotels.

I have used Webjet hotels (never used Webjet flights) before and found them to be cheapest when used in conjunction with a coupon code.
It was also a reasonably efficient way to use FlyBuys points/Amex points.

+1 for this deal, but, given the value ($40), then total hotel booking would be best suited up to about $250, otherwise other sites will probably be better value.

Take, for example, 1 night at Ibis Sydney Airport (not the old Formule1), Webjet wants $167.
        Trivago's best wants $159.
Hotelclub using 15% off ESCAPE15 code brings $166 down to $143.79.

        Webjet would be $127.
In this example, this deal is effectively worth $16.79
        YMMV

Agree with battler. As a true ozb'er, I stay in cheaper places, and often stay only one night (for example, if I have to go to a shop far away to get a deal, or to visit my hair stylist in my old state every second month) so this deal really works for me. Usual $134 a night for $94? I'll take it.

        • another example, one night at Airport Sydney International Inn, $140 standard price, $123 using 15% at HotelClub, Webjet $100 after coupon.

        • Ratestogo - 20% off

spot check for tonight at Ibis Sydney Airport comes down to $121.09

        • my sample date above was 10 Sept.
Tonight via Webjet at Ibis airport (not ibis budget airport) is $108.

I just saved $80 on my hotel booking by buying two vouchers and using them straight away.

Took me 1 hr to get the bookings through because there was a mistake and had to cancel to rebook with voucher code.
    Everything worked out.
    2 nights, 2 bookings, 2 vouchers.

    Original price for 2 nights, $260… - $80 = $180!!

    • booking individual nights separately makes this deal much more worthwhile.

  • I won't neg this deal but all I can say - Webfail Terrible terrible history with this company (Webjet) and them not processing payments in accordance with promo codes entered into their booking system, especially for hotels. More than a dozen calls and emails and I finally had the overcharged amount refunded to my credit card some 6 weeks later.

    • This is probably what happened to my booking.
The voucher code was entered and accepted, went through to pay but it charged me non-voucher rate.

Had to cancel entire booking and rebook.

Before I posted this I checked for one of my favorite hotels in bali for next March. Was coming in at $34-36/night. That's with the other webjet code ($40 off min $250). I often only use webjet or cheaptickets with codes. The price now was three nights=$125 so with voucher less outgoings is $28/night. So times two bookings and nearer the date just email the hotel to link the bookings into one stay. This code best for countries where you get good quality for either $33.34/night or $50.01/night (as an example) to utilise effectiveness.
