I was looking around for GoT season 3 and the cheapest i could find was at Santiy.
Amazon and JB_hifi are around the $55 mark, so it's a saving of $20.
Plus free shipping just sealed the deal for me.

Also, i used their "3 for $60" deal to get GoT season 1 and season 2, plus Breaking Bad season 1.
Pretty decent priced.

Winter has come to Perth today. it was bloody 2 degrees this morning.

Its not worth the money as a DVD… get the bluray version.

    • Yeah I agree. If that's not an option due to not owning a Bluray drive grab a digital copy for basically the same price.

    • It might be cheaper than JB etc., but who the hell would watch GoT in standard def, let alone pay $55 for it?

The Blu-Ray version is regularly ~$30 on eBay from Aussie sellers, even cheaper than the $34.95 HD copies on iTunes.

…picked it up for $25 with the 15% off yesterday :)

    DVD?
Even though much of it is dark and grainy, it is one of those few TV series where I'd really want HD.

[ And yeah, winter is well and truly f***ing here already. But I'll take the cold mornings over the torrential downpours of recent.]

My friend watched this in divx how embarrassing.
I recently started watching the web dl 1080p version and the image quality is astounding. ( even vs the 720p)
Well worth waiting a few extra hours for the download.

divx? is your friend from the same era as the show?

      • I'm not sure. Are we talking about DIVX, the "view once" optical disc format that expired after 48 hours? If so, then it's quite possible.

PAL DVDs are a joke. 4% audio speed-up ruins everything, and 25 fps sucks. Blu-ray eliminates these issues.

    • After watching Blu Ray changing to a DVD is horrible. I do it only under sufferance due to the $1 Tuesday kiosk rentals if Blu Ray is unavailable. So much quality TV is still only on DVD though. For example I went to buy Elementary and found it only on DVD.

Thats why some of us are forced to other sources to get our bluray quality content.

  • if you manage to find a bluray copy in store at Big W then it should cost $30.40 going by this https://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/dvds-blu-ray/action-ad…

    (note out of stock)

I tried this last week…unfortunately scanned at $38, and they wouldn't change it, saying the online one was an online special only…

      • $38 is still pretty good for BD

I bought the Bluray with BigW special edition artwork on Friday for $38.
