  • A+ deal

  • Beer! Cheap! Awesome! And probably a lot better than that over priced camel p*ss called Corona. *Edit I would vote positive if my phone let me.

    • neva tried this.. is better than corona?

      • Haven't tried it but I think one of my mates complained that the bottle shape sucks because you can't wedge lemon in the neck.
(personally I think that's a good thing, Lemon and beer shouldn't be mixed in my opinion, there's a time and a place for both but not together)
The bottle neck doesn't bulge like Corona, it's more like a regular Midi shape where the neck gets wider as it approaches the body.

  • very niiiiiiiiiiiiice

  • I've never had this one, has anyone else? Will probably buy it, I dont mind a Sol & Corona (2 other mexican beers)

  • Stay thirsty my friends.

  • I have tried it earlier, and simply loved it.
But a word of caution- will you buy a beer with just a week to go before expiry?

I do not want to drink a flat beer, and will pass it this time- even if it is cheap.
On the other hand, if someone is planning a party with the mates ;-)

    Cheers,
    Varun

    • Its within expiry date - these are really best by dates - it doesn't go flat instantly when the date expires. Have tried some beers with an expiry date a year past, but it does affect the taste. More so with beers in clear bottles, which can also be affected by flouro lights found in the fridges of clubs and hotels, hence Corona doesnt store well.

Another effect on beer is the way its transported. These come from the northern hemisphere so they come by container ship crossing the equator - which depending on where in the ship the container is located, can be heat affected. Likewise sitting on docks before and after the ship transport.

So often not as good as found in the home country (although in the case of mexican and beers from other tropical countries local shipping practices probably heat affect the beer in the home country already).

Finally the food you eat at the time you drink the beer affects the taste greatly. eg Indian Pale Ale (IPA) is extremely bitter when drunk on its own, but after a hot curry its divine.

  • Just my opinion, but dos equis is a cheap bog standard lager. The dark version isn't so bad, but I don't think you'll get that here. To be fair though, for $30 it is probably better than many of the crap beers on sale here in Aus.

  • Yeah I'll try it, I owe a mate some beer anyway so I'll get this and go halves with him. Cheaper than Tooheys New he drinks plus I get to try some new beer. Win/Win :D

  • Must be a store only clearance..(probably due to the BB Date) it was standard price at my nearest..

  • I went there today - they still had maybe 10 cartons of it - and tried it tonight - great value!! :>
