Baby Jogger released a new model of their mini GT stroller this year, so the older model is discounted. Only the black and the red/shadow colours are discounted (and able to be shipped to Aus).

The only difference between this one and the new 2014 one appears to be the colour, styling and the harness has been changed slightly.

The 2014 model is being sold locally for between 550 - 700.

So is this the 2012 or 2013 model? Your post is confusing.

    • It's the model released in 2012 which was carried over to 2013. There does not appear to be a 2013 specific model.

  • Got one of this and was very satisfied. Very good price too !!

  • Genuinely curious to know what this does/offers compared to a sub-$100 stroller from say Target.

Target's Hipod ifold stroller is the older rebranded design of this (think 1-2 generations behind). I tried it instore but the build is probably better on the Baby jogger as is the folding mechanism. I bought mine from Amazon as well for low $300's shipped.

Sub $100 strollers are crap. I have went through many strollers and the cheap ones have really crappy maneuvering/steering which was a big negative for me

FYI - Aus version have a Red brake vs the US version that is black.

From what I understand, its mainly brand, durability, maneuverability, longevity (as in you could probably use it for two successive children), easier to fold up and it offers things like the ability to connect a rear-facing bassinet or capsule for the 0-4 monthers.

But overall what it offers most over the <$100 range is wife satisfaction, which typically only occurs over a certain spend. This can also be seen when purchasing other items such as Lorna Jane clothing or a Range Rover Evoque.

    • The build quality is much better. Cheap prams flex from side to side.
Folding mechanism is also much better

      • Also, from memory, you could probably sell this pram for around the same price after your baby has outgrown it, or even make a slight profit

  • man… I wish this was a deal a few month back when I was looking…
ended up getting a second hand city select for $600

  • We bought this exact pram months ago from Amazon for roughly the same price. I would recommend also buying attachments at the same time as they are difficult to find in Australia and way more expensive. We bought majority or extras and was still cheaper than the base AU model

  • The biggest disadvantage of this model is that the storage basket is pretty much useless. It is quite small and hard to reach when the baby is sitting.

After a lot of research I ended up buying this instead. Very similar, more features, lighter and cheaper!

    Thanks

I am trying to order this through Amazon but it tells me I cannot ship this to Australia. Is it just me or do others get this too?
