Was browsing some of the downloadable games on Amazon UK and saw this for £1.99.. figured i had nothing to lose bought it using a real UK address and downloaded it.. Downloads as an EXE installer onto your desktop and you install from there.. No cd key was asked for, and it does not link to your uplay or steam account..

  Amazon is wrong.. downloaded, installed, updated and played without any prompt for a cdkey or activation..

  I did a bit of googling and it seems that the game shipped with no DRM on retail copies and the steam version has no DRM either.. you can simply run the .exe without steam being open…
  "It is true, no activations, no Uplay, the game can even be opened without Steam running. Only the Retail and Steam versions are DRM free though, apparently other digital versions have DRM"

  Works fine, does not provide any sort of CD key so cannot be added/downloaded through steam, so very much like a GOG game.
