Like many other OzBargainers, I have been doing the Tell Coles Survey each month which until now gave you 1000 Fly Buys points (worth $5), but after doing the survey tonight, I was only given 500 Fly Buys points, and I am not sure I will bother in future as it takes around 20 minutes to get $2.50 worth of points.
Just wandering what others think, and whether you will still do it for only 500 points?

Can always earn 1000 per month by opening another flybuys account, & getting 500 points in each?
It literally takes me less than 4-5 minutes to fill in. Not sure how you're spending 20 minutes each time.
I was about to fill in the survey for this month and noticed the sting. 500 points. Will take 4 months to earn enough points for a $10 discount on my groceries. I'll do it, but am nowhere near as keen as before.
Today for example I bought some bananas at the self serve checkout. Selected bananas from the menu and weighed my item… nothing happened. The checkout did not proceed to the next step. I tried it a few times and so did a staff member. I had to use a different self serve checkout. Coles would probably appreciate the feedback to know their system isn't working. Maybe customers won't bother for a measly 500 points.
The receipts I got from Coles today still had the 1000 points advertising for the survey. I guess not all of the stores have updated their systems yet.
The weekly Coles catalogue I got today (8/7) still advertises 1000 points. I don't think the different areas of Coles talk to each other.

It used to be a nice little bonus for 5 minutes work, but I will not bother any more. Big spenders will still get $5 off $100 shop.
Can you do more than one survey for different Flybuys cards under the same account? Or is that loophole still plugged?

Yes I will still do the survey for the 500 points but I won't give detailed answers. I will just do the survey as quickly as possible
Regardless of how many points, you would stilll have to spend $500 just to receive your 500 points, now doing a few minute survey and getting 500 points isn't that bad, I know it's been halved, but it is better than nothing, coles could you Nada if they wanted to.
Just had my july survey points post - still got 1,000 points even though when I did survey it was only offering 500…

Don't know if people are still following this thread. Just call up flybuys this morning, they are only giving 500 points per account (household) no matter how many additional members completes the survey.
They brought that rule in months ago when it was still 1000 points per survey.
Just have a separate flybuys account for every member of the family and you can still get multiple amounts of 500 points. Make sure you have a separate email address for each account.
When it was 1000 points on offer I used to fill in the survey based on my main weekly shop. Now I wait until a much smaller shop before filling in the survey; in fact I have just finished my survey for this month - I bought a pack of bread rolls.
Incidentally, it appears to me that Coles specials have paled into insignificance against Woolies over the last several weeks.
