Found this while booking a hotel last night. 3 points per $1 when booking through here as well. The link should work fine but might be best to go through the velocity site anyway

Velocity membership number must be inserted in the Booking Details page. Points are earned on completed bookings where the customer has stayed at and checked out from the hotel.
