it was $399 2 weeks ago during their free shipping promo.
Been this price for a couple months already.
plus now the shipping time becomes weeks instead of days, seems like Kogan doesn't have stock on hands and will just order from HK or CN when they receive payment from AU buyers, tricky :)
They hardly ever have much stock on-hand.
Their other trick is to for e.g.: Take order for TV X. Process payment. Call customer (weeks later) and inform new stock will arrive 6-10 weeks down the track, or pay 25% more to buy the much better TV Y.
Idiots at my work recently got sucked in to this. Ordered 6 of their 42" screen (4 weeks ago), and were informed last week, that now there is a wait till mid august to take delivery.
There's a reason it's cheap, it's cos it looks moronic to be holding a safety orange phone to your ear and nobody wants to buy one. :) Yes yes, you could buy a cover, but personally I don't want a thick phone.
