Hmmmm on the surface, seems like a good deal for the base model as it's wayyy better than Moto and recent Scamsung deals for a refurb Grade A 🤔 what am I missing… Grey import? Faulty device or fake parts with misleading Grade A rating?

    • OneUI 8 will be the last feature update for it (just about to come out, they have four feature updates)

      • Tbf, I still have my S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra and I'm still on OneUI 5.1 for those and refused to update to 6 and will never do. Really great backup phones since I never sold them, but I have an S21 5g and it's way better as a backup phone due to size than the Ultras.

        • How do you manage security updates if you're not updating? (I ask because I've be holding out on upgrading to OneUI 7).

          • @Rhubarb Jones: If security updates is of importance then definitely worth going to OneUI 7. Its a good balance. I'm running it with Energy Power saving on and its battery life is similar to OneUI 5 without power saving. OneUI 7 with power saving turned on runs perfectly fine with all the optimisations that Samsung has made.

I lived through the horrible OneUI 6, Samsungs first attempt at AI. My S22 was overheating and battery life almost halved.

I quickly jumped to OneUI 7 as soon as it came out. Battery life improved back to expected and no overheating issues. I highly recommend OneUI 7.

If you are a super IT geek and know how to root your phone there are tweeking guides on XDA on how to prevent overheating for Snapdragon (eg. under volting, etc).

The S22 chipset had the first generation Snapdragon 8. All later Samsung models are using newer versions of Snapdragon 8 so its my wishful thinking the developers at Samsung are optimising for our chipset inadvertently as time go on.

    • This is atleast a 3 years old phone. I'll be shocked if it cost you anymore. The battery capacity would've lost around 30% capacity. So a full day may not be likely.

      • The battery capacity would've lost around 30% capacity.

Grade A refurbished means probably a Grade A battery with about 85% of the performance of the original. But indeed overheating would be an issue in this case due to software-battery hardware mismatch.

  • Hi Rep, how much stock do you have and what's the battery condition please?

    • Hi there, thanks for your interest

We currently have good stock available. All units are thoroughly tested and come with excellent battery health, ensuring reliable all-day performance.

        Are they original Samsung Battery?

  • +1

I had the S22+, battery life was average, otherwise good.
Made the change to Nothing 2a, nothing I miss.

    • What do you have now if you miss the Nothing phone?

      • Sorry, my overly succinct sentences are sometimes confusing. Nothing I miss about the Samsung after moving to Nothing. Camera isn't as good but I knew what I was buying for $400.

        • +1

Your original comment wasn’t confusing at all haha

Hi Rep, i previoulsy bought this phone from another vendor. It had come from Japan but had no Esim available becuase it had been made for a Japanese carrier that wanted only their sim used.
Does this have the esim available?

    • Great question. Would also like to know too.

Hi there, thanks for your question

      Yes, all units are eSIM-compatible.

  • Watching for more comments as I tempted. Replacing a moto neo 50 with a cracked screen (still usable but want to replace).

  • OP, why dont you sell to CEX? they take it for $331

Question to rep: What model cpu do these have ?

    • +1

      Chipset: Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (4 nm)

      CPU: Octa-core (1x3.00 GHz Cortex-X2 & 3x2.50 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4x1.80 GHz Cortex-A510)

      GPU: Adreno 730

      • URL to product suggests it's Exynos version: https://www.phonebot.com.au/samsung-galaxy-s22-5g-exynos-chi…

As I require Snapdragon's AptX for bluetooth audio, kindly ease my doubts by confirming the Chipset in these units as either:

        Exynos 2200 (4 nm) - Europe
        Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (4 nm) - ROW

        • +2

All the Galaxy S22 units we currently have in stock are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (4 nm) processor, not Exynos.

          • @erroorfree: Thank you for the confirmation. May I ask which S22 SIM layout they have which according to gsmarena may be one of the following?

            Nano-SIM + eSIM
            Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM + eSIM (max 2 at a time)

            • +2

              @Cheaparoo: Hi there,

We actually have a mix of both variants in stock — some with Nano-SIM + eSIM, and others with Dual Nano-SIM + eSIM (supporting up to 2 active at a time).

      • +2

        are they aust stock?

  • I had excellent battery life on my S22+, but I did run blokada 5 which helps a lot. Would get 5 to 7 hours screen on time depending on what I was doing on WiFi.

  • are they aust stock?

    • +1

      Hi there, thanks for asking

We have a mix of stock, including Australian units as well as imports

      • +2

Can I specify Australian unit only when purchasing?

  • +1

Wow, just realised it has been 8 years since I got my refurb S7 from Phonebot. Their service was great from the outset and it hasn't skipped a beat as my only phone. Maybe it's time for an upgrade!

    • So are you still using it now?!?!

      • +2

Yup. Still the same battery as supplied. The phone does all the contactless payment/transport things, haven't had to carry a wallet for years now.
That said, I'm not a "power user" talking on it 8 hours straight and streaming multi-gigabytes throughout the day.
