Good and Cheap Cookbook Free PDF Download

1380

Here is a freebie for Ozbargainers, a free PDF cookbook about eating/cooking on a budget, thanks to a current Kickstarter project Good and Cheap: Eat Well on $4/Day (the PDF is free!). Link to the Kickstarter project

Good and Cheap is a gorgeous cookbook for tight budgets. It's free online, but let's get it out to more people by funding a print run.

You can already download a PDF for free on my website at www.leannebrown.ca/cookbooks. Thanks to the support of a bunch of awesome strangers on Reddit, on Tumblr, and elsewhere, it's been amazingly popular — nearly 100,000 people downloaded the draft version in just a few weeks!

But I want your help to fund printed copies so that we can get Good and Cheap into the hands of people who don't have computers or who wouldn't otherwise see it. The expensive part of printing books is the initial set-up; the cost of each additional copy is fairly low. The more books you buy, the more I can donate or sell at a massive discount to organizations that support low-income families on SNAP (the modern name for Food Stamps).

probably important to note that if anyone does want to donate to this project it isn't an australian based project, books will being going to US/Canadian families (don't know whether that will influence your decision or not)

Cheers - I had a quick browse through it, a lot of the recipes seem very simple and therefore fast which is always a plus in my books ;)

    Nice layout and images also.

    Very nice, making me hungry…

  • +1 for your website.

  • Brussels Sprout, Hash and Eggs - just right for a Friday night.

  • thanks

  • I thought all the menu ingredients were expensive and most of the stuff were really restaurant style quality meals, not budget savings meals that someone could reasonably make for $4 a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner), except for plain oats for breakfast.

  • Thanks OP. Simple cooking. Have been looking for something like this for a long time.
