1kg Freshly Roasted Premium African Coffee $24.95 FREE Shipping @ Safari Roast

120

In response to the huge popularity of last weeks offer, we've developed another tasty blend for all coffee loving OzBargainers to savour. These beans will be getting roasted and despatched from Tuesday onwards via AusPost as we're now implementing a set roasting schedule to better meet the logistical needs of our valuable customers.
All of our beans are specialty grade and are personally selected by us for roasting, and for this blend we selected a delicious Tanzanian bean with a lovely rich smoothness, a Kenyan for that trademark delicious fruitiness and our Malawi Misuku Hills to add a nice hint of cocoa and malt. As a black coffee its got a lovely rich fruity flavour leading into a nice cocoa and malt body while as a white coffee it cuts nicely through the milk and has a delicious smooth malt body with a very nice slightly sweet finish.
This is another blend we're really proud of and feel that it showcases the best aspects of East African coffee. For further tasting notes please refer to the link provided.

And also just to confirm, all orders from last weeks offer have been dispatched via AusPost and are due to arrive Fri-Mon depending on your location. There was a delay of a day or so in dispatching these, however with our new roasting schedule this will no longer be an issue. Thanks :)

  • Thanks rep - I was about to mention that I hadn't received the beans yet.

    • No worries at all Stix. We were using a local AusPost shop but have moved to using a nearby AusPost business hub instead as they can better handle the volume and send things more efficiently and quickly. :)

Also, just to let everyone know we've just implemented a step by step notification system to let you know via email both when we've roasted your order and also your tracking details. This is thanks to some very useful feedback we've received from customers and will further improve the customer service we can provide.

    • It will be good to actually reply customer email as well.
I emailed you regarding the ETA of my order through your website "contact us" page and have no response until now.

      • Hi,
I'm not quite sure what would have happened there as I check that email on a regular basis and reply as frequently as is reasonably possible. If you want, you can also pm us on here and we'll certainly answer you :)

Loving the beans I got from a recent safari deal.
Looking forward to the next peaberry.
    Cheers.

    • Thanks macamaca,
Great to hear! And you'll be pleased to hear we've got not one, not two, but three new peaberries arriving in the next 1-2 weeks, can't wait. Will email you over the weekend with the details.

  • The deal itself is great, but I'd be happier once I receive last week's order.. My patience is being roasted to perfection, I pray it pays off..

    • Hi Xizo,
We do apologise for any wait you've experienced. We've been advised that all orders that weren't received today will be completed on Monday. This was an issue that we've since rectified with AusPost to better be able to lodge higher volumes of parcels more quickly so we don't leave you waiting in the future :)

      • I got my order today and was ordered last week as per the original offer. (ordered 2kg). I am in Melbourne.

Anyway, nice coffee. Well worth the price…

Where is the promised communications? Where is the coffee? I also have sent emails and pms requesting update but nothing.

Hi brisneylander, I'd already replied to your message. I'm assuming you haven't received this reply? Please let me know

Also awaiting communication regarding my order #1539?

  • +1

Hi. No, this is the first communications I've seen from you other than the acceptance of the order.

When I see comments in deal history that others have faced communications delays with you and late shipment I start to assume this is the standard.

So if you could give me an update on my order that would be grand.

  • safariroast

I still havent seen your reply. Should I be expecting an email, a PM in here, something else?

Also awaiting information (& beans)on order( #1535) placed on 11th despite being promised on the 17th that it would be sent by 17th?

  • +2

Also waiting for my order 1556 placed on the 12th.

No answer to my email, either.

This happened to my order 1051 in February, which never arrived.

Still waiting on tracking information promised 2 days ago for order placed on July 12th.

    Order: #1554

Thankfully my Serengeti coffee arrived this morning - but there was no notice for tracking etc. Apparently roasted on the 17th - looking forward to sampling it as I ground my last lot of other beans for this morning's coffee ritual.

Beans have arrived. Yeah! I have no problem with the 1 week delivery time frame, just the lack of notification from either safariroast or Aussie post? Must be a few bugs in the "step by step notification system to let you know via email both when we've roasted your order and also your tracking details".

  • Same here. I also agree that 1 week delivery timeframe isn't an issue. As mentioned by bongom, the post spoke of some pretty specific communications that for whatever reason never took place. It was only that that raised alarm bells.

So I cant wait to try the beans. Think I'll be cracking open the pack around this time tomorrow. If theyre as good in my espresso machine as I suspect they will be, I'll gladly become a repeat customer. Would you have me back safariroast?

  • Just not good enough, I'm afraid.

No coffee from order placed on the 12th, and no response to my email of the 18th.

I have asked for a cancellation and a refund, and will need to buy elsewhere.

I don't mind waiting a week, but the utter lack of communication just does not cut it.

    A pity…….

  • OK, I have received email from Larry.

He said that he has been in hospital with a serious heart issue, so all is forgiven.

I now have a tracking number, and the beans are due here today.

    • Just arrived.

      Well worth it.

  • I still have not received my order that was placed on the 11th of July -
Order: #1543. Please send an update.

  • Just sent an email to Safari Roast for an update. Order # 1570 from 15th July.
Just send me a bag of coffee.. any coffee.. gotta be better than the one from Coles.

    • Edit. Just checked my SPAM and actually received an mail from Larry on 23rd re. the delay advising coffee will arrive roughly Monday via Express Post. Well maybe soon.. thanks and take care.

  • I checked my spam but nothing was in. Im now concerned that if i do recieve this coffee it would have been roasted 3 weeks ago and no longer fresh.

  • I received my beans finally. Still not very happy as they are now roasted over two weeks ago.
