And you can rip them to your digital collection and then sell them whenever you desire. Much better value than digital downloads.

Not that I buy many any more, but I would if I were really into collecting music.

        • Your local library is also good for obtaining original cds to rip listen to!

The value of second-hand CDs is basically nil these days.

      • and sometimes cheaper, I've found quite a few lately to be cheaper on CD than downloading..

So, higher bitrate, rip to digital for portability, own it to listen whenever wherever, get physical thing and have a collection, comparable price.. seems like a solid deal.

also, you get downloads with Vinyl too these days, people still buy LPs…

  • JB will have another 20% off sale soon anyway :)

Any good deals on cassette tapes ?

I haven't bought a CD in yonks. I don't really by mp3s much more either. I just throw utube on and get my music that way. Create playlists and whatnot.

Oh, I mostly listen to talk radio in the car so who needs CDs!

  • I doubt it would include vinyl… but do you think there is any chance? Last time my local had 20% off CD's it did include vinyl but that was a storewide sale
