  • I can't see the weekend delivery available on there site, they talk of 2 days delivery.

Not that good a deal usually see these for around the $90 mark.
These modems also dont have very good wireless range but major disadvantage is no support for IPTV
Alot if isp's are offering this now so - neg vote from me.

  • DG834G, not DG83G

    • Very True! Thanks

      Fixed up

  • I have a DG834Gv4 for a few years now. It is powerful enough to allow multiple machines running different p2p, +wifi with Wii and auto QoS for voip (need a separate ATA for the voip).

You can issue http://router ip/setup.cgi?todo=debug to enable the debug mode, then "telnet router ip" to customize the settings.

The only complain I have is: there is not configurable QoS. I solved this by buying a software QoS: cFosSpeed.
Note: if you buy the software though their English page, https://www.cfos.de/order/speedn_e.htm, it is $14.90Euro (Au$25.5). But if you get it from their Chinese page, https://www.cfos.de/order/speedn_cn.htm, it is Au$8. I just use the English page as a reference on each individual field.

  • DG834G is a good basic WirelessG/ADSL2+ modem-router combo. If you need IPTV/QOS/VOIP you're going to pay more, as you should. So far this is the best price I've seen (having looked at staticice). Shipping is a few dollars more than I'd expect ($12.25 and $13.60 for different post methods) but it's a good deal.
