    how does vlc streamer compare with playerxtreme and Gplayer? All of which I got from Ozbargain but haven't really had time to explore what they're about…

    I don't know but from a paid mediaplayer(even if it goes free) I expect it to be able to see my dlna server without additional "helper" installations on my pc. Since I purchased nPlayer I've never looked back
