The h14.2 R edition is way more powerful at 850 lumens vs this 350 but cost $179
    http://www.yourhomedepot.com.au/products/led-lenser/h14r-2-h…
It comes with inbuilt rechargeable pack hence the R

    I own the original h14
Led lenser is well made but this headlamp is very heavy compared to a zebralight which can hit over 1000 lumens for $89 us
Led lenser is 340g with batteries zebralight is 39 gram not including one 18650 battery
The zebralight is fully submersible to 2m for 30mins
Zebralight H600 MK II Cool White 1090 Lm Flashlight 18650
    http://www.zebralight.com/H600w-Mk-II-18650-XM-L2-Headlamp-N…

The led lenser advantage is the flood to zoom feature which can be very useful and tactical
It's not submersible though only splash proof
These have very good warranty (5years I think)
These newer led lensers have selectable regulation on or off

I highly recommend yourhomedepot. Very good service with warranty.
I have been waiting for a real professional review but can't find any but I did find an interesting review by a normal bloke
and he says these new led lensers have a terrible issue

Having a dependable and powerful headlamp is essential for anything from survival to car breakdown to everytime a
torch is needed. The vital difference is keeping both hands free. Buy at least one top quality headlamp before you buy
Cheap Chinese rubbish with vastly overrated lumens.

A touch cheaper on eBay @ $96 delivered

    • Steptoe is right. $96 from eBay with free postage.

    • I got it for $90 by price matching at masters.
For those not near a masters store $96 on eBay is the way to go.

    • Cheaper on ebay - not a bargain

  • I paid $120 for the h14.2 and would definitely recommend it. Best headlamp I own, plus I have the bike mount for it so I can ride at night its very solid.

I find the weight distribution to be fine yet to have issues once strapped onto head.

I personally don't see any issues with the widest settings, its pretty much all i use it on (especially on the bike)
