    • Meh. I've been meaning to buy one of these for my ratbag for ages. eBay could have saved me 8c but I'm willing to pay rather than my time for searching.

+1 for you anyways for living the OzB spirit

      • Thanks for your understanding!

      • What are you on about? It takes 3 seconds to do a search on eBay.

    • Cheaper on Ebay as linked above as an everyday price.

I'd normally try and pay some lame pun for a deal like this but on this occasion I'll show some restraint.

    • Oh do belt up!

Keep your dog & cat safely restrained and secure in vehicle while driving

My dog doesn't drive, would this be still suitable ?

  • If I had a car, or a dog, or could even think of a vague reason to buy one of these, I'd get it from this dude rather than from ebay. Because, like the squillions of jaded EX-ebay sellers out there, well, now I just hate "greed-ebay".
Thanks for posting OP, ALWAYS GOOD to know about cost-comparable alternatives to ebay, for ANY PRODUCT. Keep them coming!
In fact, for this price I might buy one and give it away on "free-cycle" or a similar site, just to STOP someone buying one on ebay.

    • but why do you hate ebay……?

      • +2

if you were a seller on eBay, you know how GREEDY eBay has become…..

  • Well I do have both a car and a dog. Definitely wouldn't keep my dog restrained though, since he could (and would) bite through it. Something to keep in mind.

    • Just putting this out there for others but in NSW (which I know you're not from) it is the law to have your dog restrained in a car.

      • I was wondering if a law exists for WA only the other day. My dog is medium sized and can get thrown around a bit.

      • Actually not even sure it is the law in NSW. Animals simply can't be causing a distraction to the driver. I don't think there is anything about being specifically restrained (for cars, not utes). Definitely isn't in Victoria. Believe there is something about not having an animal on the drivers lap. RSPCA does recommend having a dog restrained though. So the Police could charge you for having an unrestrained dog, but only based on claiming that it was causing a distraction. With a restrained dog, no basis to make that claim.

I was actually serious though. My dog can bite through nylon webbing very easily, so something like this would keep him restrained for a few minutes at most.
