Amex is getting to be a bit of fun. I got it free with one of the ANZ bank deals here on OZB. I will have to consider seriously keeping it, for an annaul fee of around $90!! I posted 2 TripA reviews just to be sure.

Just an aside point about TripAdvisor. Some people say that TA reviews lack credibility because there is no proof that people stayed at the hotels etc. However I have had online Hotel booking agents, who I have booked through, refuse to post critical reviews of their 'Client' hotels. So, from that experience, I can say that online Hotel booking agents' Web site reviews also lack credibility!! There is no such screening done by TA.
I posted a negative review before and was asked to provide proof.

Can confirm that this still works.
I still went ahead to connect my AMEX card and wrote up a TripAdvisor review on Saturday morning 04/10/2014, got email confirmation the next day that my review went up, then yesterday got an email from AMEX saying that I would receive my $10 statement credit within 8 weeks, then checked my statement today and surprisely it already came through =)
T&Cs:
You must connect your eligible American Express Card with TripAdvisor to be eligible to receive the $10 statement credit.
Offer limited to the first 15,000 posted reviews.
Only one $10 statement credit per connected Card.
Your Card must remain connected until the statement credit is applied.
Statement credit may not be received if a review doesn’t meet TripAdvisor’s qualifications and is not posted by TripAdvisor.
Corporate and prepaid Cards are not eligible.
