At least there shouldn't be any questions about if they will post it:
    "LOGITECH HARMONY 785
    PAY ONLY $79 INSTORE
PICK UP ONLY - WE DO NOT SHIP 1 PER CUSTOMER"

Was flipping through a HN catalog and saw this for $254. I hate going into their store and actually seeing people paying that price.

    • This isn't justification for Harvey Norman, but their overheads are higher then what Fluidtek would have (though not $175 on a $254 item).

You can't blame Harvey Norman, they offer and people take their offer up (if any actually do). It's like a person here a few days ago saying they felt ripped of because JB HiFi charged X on something, the person didn't do their research, JB never ripped them off, they just weren't a savvy or a prepared shopper. I don't think JB even charged full price, just that the person felt ripped off.

Surely its up to the consumer to be a bit savvy when it comes to purchases (if they don't wish to pay the full RRP).

  • Exactly , they have to pay for big premises , TV advertising , radio etc , 20 staff nearly in each store , and ok customer service , so its justified , and as zero said , no one is getting ripped off at jb or hn , they make the offer you buy it , Thats why its a law that you Cannot return an item based on finiding it cheaper somewhere else .

    • "you Cannot return an item based on finiding it cheaper somewhere else ."
You can at Dick Smith Electronics (DSE) (14 day refund on most things). Many big stores do, its not law, just their customer service charter (if they have one) or their policy. Sometimes its up to each individual you see, but no at Aldi (60 days) or DSE, its their policy.

up to the store to do it , but law doesnt force a buisness to return on those basis .

Correct. It is bad when some retailers don't honour the law when a product is faulty. We can guess (to ourselves) which stores may not like even giving a refund even when faulty and wont even follow up a warranty (not even the statutory warranty).

Fluidtek charge a 20% fee (I presume that's for change of mind purchases, or when "bullied" into buying something they are trying to push on the day when you go for a different brand, but the staff reckon they know best).

Even Cheaper than best buy tek but unsure about the postage rate

    • I would have thought NOBODY would inquire about postage this time(:

Well postage is what ever price you may like to donate to Fluidtek, as this offer is only for physical in-store purchase only (ie not being posted to people).

  • Haha Agreed , Dont think Impulsive even read the top before he voted

    • Its IN THE TITLE, it was the first comment on the deal. How more clear could it have been?
This is up (or down there, depends how you like ranking things) there with the claim that someone made about the cheap batteries from Coles exploding.

I am not going go call impulsive2009 any names, but I can think of some.

  • i think the deal is now changed.

says its 90$ when buying anyting else in the shop for over 100$.

    • It's not even on the website when I checked a few seconds ago.

  • Usually the update is in the morning. Will see if he puts it up again. I checked as well. No longer there

  • Good remote..

purchased last time was $80 @ fluidtek

  • Looks like its Back on a bit different this time http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/15650 , but for $69 if you buy a wave pro for $99 . That is just amazing , I have no clue how fluidtek can do it .
