  • Should make it clear if it includes meter + connection to the grid and costs associated.

seems like a good deal for the Trina's though !

    • everything included.

  • +7

I think you may need more than 5kw to cover all over ACT.

    Unless they're really big panels.

    • +2

i think the panel covers whole ACT to give you 5kw?

      • +4

        hi guys

I dot know if you are being serious or not??

        • +2

I dot know if you do, but do you cover WA too?

        • +2

Of course they are. OzB is a very serious site :|

        • +2

perhaps sell them to 20 poor people. they can put them on the roof of their car in case they want to go anywhere.

  • Why is the ACT offer nearly $600 more?

    • +2

in the ACT there is an inspection fee and a metering connection fee paid to ACTEW AGL.

    • +2

Heaps of overpaid public servants, or if not overpaid they'll find a way to use taxpayer money to pay for it.

      • +4

You're confusing "public servants" with "politicians"; it's a common mistake.

  • How about Melbourne?

    • Sorry not MELB yet.

      • +2

Will you guys still around for the next 25 yrs to cover the warranties?

        • +2

          I hope so.

We buy our panels and inverters locally.

we will give you all warranty information, so technically you don't need for warranty you can contact supplier direct.

But in saying that I tell all my customers to call me if anything goes wrong, we will handle everything.

    • Keeping my eye open for Melb as well :)

  • Any offers in Brisbane?

    • where about in BRIS

      • North Lakes

      • Browns Plains?

      • what about on the moon? I hear it has many days of sunlight per month.

maybe the deal is only for ACT

  • This seems interesting. My understanding is that you will recoup the cost of the solar panels within 5ish years?

Does the savings you gain through generating your own energy degrade every year through wear and tear?

    • +2

that is correct. you do lose some energy over the years but the panels are covered under warranty for 25yrs.

first 12yrs panels cant decade more than 10%.

for the next 13yrs panels ant decade more than 20%.

if they do they get replaced free of charge.

Trina Honey panel is a tier one panel.
      very efficient panel.

I have never had a problem with them.

  • With the NSW Metro install ($4390), the Ad does not mentioned what inverter you get. Does this deal also include the Sungrow 5KW inverter.

    • +1

      YES it does.

but for NSW we need to add $330 for Grid connection and metering.

  • Hi rep
I tried to get the last deal offered for NSW ($4390). I am living in Fletcher, NSW 2287
I am still waiting for your confirmation for some one to come to my house and inspect whether it is suitable for 5KW solar.
Pls confirm me when some one is coming for roof inspection.

    • hi Rabbi

I just heard you speaking with Tony.

He will be at your house 7:30 Friday morning.

  • If NSW Metro/Regional install is $4390, and ACT install is $4950; how much for Queanbeyan?
Are we being classed as NSW regional or ACT?
As with a ~$600 difference in price, it would be nice to know.

    • +1

      Queanbeyan is NSW.

so it would be $4390 + $330 for grid connection and metering.

  • Hey rep, what's the situation if there's already a solar system installed at that address? I have a 4kw system on my roof already, and was thinking of putting more on. Can you do this deal in these circumstances?

  • Hey Rep

Is the $4950 deal in the ACT for double storey houses as well?

  • Would you plse adv what ACTEWAGL or whatever it's called at the moment is paying per unit, and how long they will sign a contract to pay that per unit back to you.

  • +1

My experience wasn't a pleasant one with this company. All good until they got the deal and was quick to get the money. Customer service was very poor and I had to wait close to 3-4 months after the installation to get wireless monitor. Heard all the excuses in the world, attitude was pretty bad and finally went to fair trading to sort things out. I wouldn't recommend given my experience I had with them.

Just adding my 2 cents guys.

    Cheers.

  • i'd like to meet trina honey, she sounds hot.

  • Has anyone actually heard back from these guys? Someone gave me a call a few weeks ago saying they would contact me with a plan… but I haven't heard anything.
