not 100% true - the game is only grindy if you want to grind for the material and armour sets - which are all vanity. The game allows you to hit max level very quickly which gets you into dungeons and WvWvW and PvP any time.
GW2 is very suited for the casual gamer and hardcore gamer.
I was a hard core GW2 Player with around 42 hours a week of game play
May have burned out on the game but i quit more so because with each update they changed the way the game worked.When the game first came out you could play and do whatever you wanted to and all roads lead to the Trading Post where you can exchange the gold you acquired from doing whatever you wanted for the best items.. that way was perfect..!!
With each update that came out and with each new items they added they restricted how you could acquire them with a new currency…
They required you to grind in a specific way to acquire said currency - PLAYING HOW "THEY" WANT YOU TOO! Not how you wanted too .. ( Unlike when the game first came out. )
I don't like games that push me into doing things i don't want too, and this one herds players around like sheepleIf they just added new content and let us acquire the content the same way we were when we first started playing the game i would be still in there playing away!
Good luck to you guys, its fun to play around with but you will waste allot of time trying to get best in game stat gear.

I've been working full time for over 14 years now, i own an apartment and an investment property.. :) What i DONT have is a wife or kids telling me i cant play videogames haha
On the flip side you do get a buttload of content for the money. For less that 2 months of WoW you're getting a massive world, decent story and..not very balanced PVP.
Good value if you've got the time for it.
Can you AFK or BOT with this game?
I would buy this but its like 30GB, too big for something I might dislike after 1hour :/

As far as the PvE content goes, this game is fantastic. Such a beautifully detailed world that is fun to level through. As far as the PvP content goes, its rubbish. Pretty much mindless garbage, with a really badly designed skill system. But this game is definitely worth it to just play the PvE and level 1 or 2 characters through to 80. You really can see the love and effort the developers put into crafting the world.
Best questing in any mmorpg I have played and I am a casual player. Just hit 80 and starting to look at instances. Lots of fun :)
After 3 failed tries with different payment methods last week I've given up on trying to buy and play this game. This was after getting perma-banned (apparently for buying a key from a reseller) at launch. Got another key from the same seller when I mentioned it to them and sure enough they banned that one too after I didn't log in for a while. Support for this game is terrible. Beware.
I quit playing this game after a full year of game ply playing every single day pretty much. The grind is crazy and the developers only added more and more and more with each update to the point i couldn't take it anymore.. :)
After putting in 2000g worth of exotics weapons into the mystic toilet and getting nothing i saved up and got my Legendary precursor from the Trading Post … I think my accounts now idle with 600g that's deprecating at an alarming rate lol
