When I was a little kid in Sydney, every Sunday after church my mom would take me to McDonalds and buy me a Big Mac meal.
I just moved back and have had a Big Mac every now and then… I seem to recall them being bigger in the past, and they would have these paper rings around them to hold them together. They don't seem to do the paper rings any more, but have the Big Macs gotten smaller at all? This was back in the 90's btw.
Just like if you go to your old primary school it will look small.

McDonald's AU claim that the meat patty has remained the same size ever since they introduced the Big Mac to Australia, but they do admit to reducing the burger bun size to make a 'meatier' burger.

In the Super Size Me doco, Morgan spends a little time with Don Gorske who ate Big Macs daily since the early 70s.
He claimed they had gotten smaller in the 30+ years he was eating them.
But Macca's are looking after our health by down sizing the burgers!

I only can assume you have them as a treat now and then, and the now was a dissapointment to the memory of the then.
Solution: make your own at home, and make them as big as you dare!
The special sauce isn't all that special, there's plenty of recipes online.
Better option - forget about them altogether and your manscaping should be enhanced!
