While I remember COTD and Dick Smith had 32" LCD TV for $499 plus delivery, however I believe the offer has all expired or waiting for it to be delivery (yes, Dick Smith, I am still waiting for the 32" LCD TV that I ordered 2 month ago!) I think this is a good deal regardless.

  • Note that this is not full-HD (i.e. 1920x1080), so while it is 1080p compatible, it cannot display 1080p in full-HD.

    Warranty: 12 Month Manufacturer’s Warranty

Good luck with that as Conia went broke! I think they went broke from all the warranty claims.

I rang the service number for my Conia dishwasher, and not only is the manufacturer warranty now useless, but parts are hard to get. I might be able to get a refund from the retailer. I reckon getting warranty from DD would be blood from a stone.
Surely they know that Conia (the importer, they don't make anything) is broke, yet DD still claims the above.

This ain't cheap if it ends up in the trash in 6 or 18 months. You have been warned.

After reading that, I'm voting neg. Sorry, it does look good on paper, but its a Conia. I wouldn't touch it even at this price without a real 3-year onsite warranty from a non-broke distributor.

Not it's not full HD, it can only display 720i, 720p and 1080i but not 1080p., the maximum Resolution: 1366X768

On their news letter it actually stated Full HD but they only amended that in the 3rd paragraph in the description, but failed to updated the HDTV Compatibility: 1080p/1080i/720p

I have updated the description in this post.

    • I'm guessing your DSE TV didnt come yesterday as promised to you.

      • nope, as usual, they delay it to 21st of August this time.

        • bloody dse - i had one on order at their store but canceled it because i moved and they took too long. I'm not going to buy anything from them anymore.

720p is fine for a 32 inch, unless you were planning on using it as a monitor

  • My Conia LCD bought from COTD over a year ago still works well.
No problem at all. Similar resolution but only digital tuner so no HD channel.
If DD has this sale earlier i would buy another one for new apartment.
Bought an LG one last week, same configuration with a brand + 3 years warranty -> $400 more.
LG LCD brightness is not good when looking from 120+ angle

  • I must have bought the same LCD tv as kctt because mine is still working as well albeit with no HD tuner. Would've been perfect if it included the HD Tuner but I definately dont' have any regrets and its worked a treat! Would definately purchase again.

Looks like there a further 5% off with MoneyBackCo https://secure.moneybackco.com/merchants/DealsDirect-com-au/

As I said in the post, you may have take into consideration that Conia is now in administration since Jan 09 when you purchase this item.

  • I'm not surprised they went bust. My DVR is faulty and actually caused me 2 electric shocks. You can buy a Sanyo from DSE for a great value clost to this price I believe (or could have).
