  • Thanks TA love your work. :-)

  • +7

    Excellent - thank you!

    • +6

What a sad world we live in when people are kind enough to show their appreciation with a 'Thank You', yet for some unknown reason, a few feel it's almost offensive (for want of a better word). Why the negs?

    • +2

What the hell is with all the negs…?

      • -1

I negged to be edgy and to protest upvote elitism.

      • Really wish that post-negs weren't anonymous.

Would love to see just how sheepish people become once their names are attached to the neg.

        • Really wish that post-negs weren't anonymous.

          Couldn't agree more…

        • +1

@tightarse: It must help them ease the pain of their poor self esteem lol.

  • +1

Even downloading the cd at 50% off is cheap ~$10

  • So it's a bit of talking, a song, then more talking. Still pretty cool, and almost tempting to buy… twice!

  • Once you've seen Elmo order fast food via drive through, you, you can't go back…

  • Excellent work as always TA

  • Thanks TA!

From listening to the three songs in my niece's name, it sounds like it was genuinely recorded. I would have hated to be that voice artist!

  • Enter your child's name:
    No (like "no")

Really? Parents that cruel should be sterilised.

My niece will be very unhappy that her name is not in the list but her brother's name is. She will never be an Elmo fan now.

    • +4

Little No actually grows up to become a Doctor…true story! ;)

  • -1

    Isn't Elmo in jail?

    • +1

That's why his voice is so high pitched…

  • That's gonna tickle the kids pink - thanks TA!

    • -6

Really? You couldn't find any better way to express your gratitude? You had to go there? An innuendo?

      • +3

You guys are really overreacting; tickled pink is such a common, harmless saying. I don't even see how it could be taken into meaning something based on the accusations made against the actor who voiced Elmo. Take off the tinfoil hats and stop reading into something that isn't there.

    • I agree, I hope that the comment was just merely worded a little poorly considering the circumstances surrounding the actor that plays Elmo, and that there was no intended connotation?
There's no room for any kind of humour when it comes to this topic!

      • +3

It's so sad that people think he's a paedophile. He isn't. He's never even been accused of messing with little kids. Two men sued him, claiming he had consensual sex with them when they were 15 and 17, but the charges were thrown out of court by a judge.

Maybe he did have sex with them. And yes, that's a bit inappropriate if true. But that doesn't mean I'm worried if my kids ever meet him.

But you know - scandal and sensational headlines can sell a paper. Pity they also ruin a man.

        • +1

Read my comment properly… I never said that he was found guilty of any wrong doing according to the laws of their country. What I was getting at, is that there is no room for ANY KIND of humour surrounding such topic!!!
Paedophiles are the lowest kind of human form, and I detest even using the word human on them!

Ps. I'd let my kids meet him too… I just wouldn't leave them alone with him. Same as I wouldn't leave them playing next to the train tracks. You don't put your kids knowingly in a 'potential' higher risk situation!!!

Edit: Also, let me define a couple of words for you - Paedophile: A person who is sexually attracted to children… & Child: A young human being below the age of puberty or below the legal age of majority.

        • -1

          15 and 17 isn't even a paedophile, is it?
it'd be an ephebophile (and I'm not verifying that spelling at work). The inbetween stage between child, and adult.

        • +1

          @daveted:
Not sure about the exact terminology used in this case, or whether it even ways into legalities… but either way, the legal age of consent varies between 16-18 depending on the state in the US.

          @Snoop:
my point is that it's pretty sad if you have relationships with a 17 year old…even a 15 year old, and you still get tarred with the same brush as someone who has relationships with a 9 year old. The latter deserves castration.

Not that relationships with a 15 old is right, but a teenager (esp. 15+) is not a child in my opinion.

        • @daveted:
I still think a 15yo can be very child like mentally, especially when compared to an experienced mature adult. But certainly, like you said, 15 is very different again to a pre-teen!

        • +1

          @Wraith:

He's never even been accused of messing with little kids. Two men sued him, claiming he had consensual sex with them when they were 15 and 17, but the charges were thrown out of court by a judge.

Here's the reason why: In July 2013, the three cases against Clash were thrown out in New York because the claims were made more than six years after each man reasonably should have become aware of Clash's alleged violations and over three years after each turned 21. Technicalities!

And no, it's not paedophelia… It's 'Improper Sexual Conduct with a Minor'!
But if it was your 16yo, I'm pretty certain that you'd still think of them as your 'little kid'! And you'd be singing a different tune if you knew that they'd been having sex with a guy in his late 40s!
Either way, it's not a "bit inappropriate", it's totally inappropriate!

        • -1

You all forgot to mention Elmo is a homosexual

    • +1

      Elmo is Red not Pink.

  • Thanks. Too bad it's pretty much just one song… Bought it though

  • How many kids do you have TA?

    • +1

      ?

  • Thanks TA. My little toddler is going to love it

  • +6

What, no Bort? :( Upvoted nevertheless, as someone gave my son the CD for his birthday and he absolutely loves it.

  • oh my gosh, this is so cute! Thank you for the link :)

  • You'd think an American site would allow you to hyphenated first names.

  • Daughter had a huge smile on face.. Thanks OP

  • +1

    Love Elmo.

    Bert is still evil.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Any chance we can get a coupon for the Wiggles?

    • The sample sounds…… weird

  • Cheers TA! Didn't think they'd have my nephew's name there, but they did. He'll love it :)

  • If you want 5 free songs from "VeggieTales" (yeah, I've never heard of it either) then use this coupon code - VEGGIE(note, as with the Elmo one, the email address can be anything). If you decide to buy it the 20% off coupon is redeem20 (the ELMO35 35% off one you might find googling is invalid).

  • Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the $10 mp3 version?

I just tried it and it looks like the site is only setup to process orders for people in the US. Needs a two letter State code and a recognized US post code

    • you can use any fake US addresses there as it's mainly validating the credit card details… bought two sets - one for my son and one for the niece ;) thanks TA!

  • Thanks TA, appreciate all of your time and effort sharing things like this that I would never ever find. Sadly no Lachlan in the list, while popular here I don't think it is used very much in the US.

  • So basically if your little one has a foreign name (besides Muhammed) you're out of luck - looks like its heavily catered to caucasian names (of course, the rest of the world doesnt watch Sesame Street) and you cant enter in your own. Still an upvote from me.

  • Kevin Clash no longer performs Elmo, a fact that seems to have eluded a few people.

    • +1

I was more upset to hear that The Clash are no longer rockin' the Casbah! :(

  • struck out

NONE of my 3 boys' names were there

    8(

  • Thanks OP!

  • Great work as always TA.
