Right now on Dick Smith's website they have FIFA 15 for preorder at $69.98. However a very poorly advertised advantage of pre-ordering game with Dick Smith, is when you pre-order games through them in store, you get $10 off on the day of release. I.e. when you actually go to pick up the order, they take $10 off the game. This means if you pre-order in store you can pick up this game for $59.98.

I figured this is a pretty good deal considering how ridiculously expensive FIFA games are and stay when released. So enjoy, and I hope this helps someone!

      If you buy online it is still a preorder. Contact dse for $10 refund. They should be able to do it.

    Does the 10 dollar apply to all pre orders?

    So if I go and pre order Horizon 2 or Masterchief right now they will give it to me at 59 on release?

      I'm not sure whether or not it applies to all pre-orders, but I know it applies to a lot. When the staff scan in the game they can see whether or not you'll get the discount. Your best bet is to just contact them. I've used this $10 discount a few times, but I never see it advertised anywhere by Dick Smith, so I can't give you a definitive sorry, I just know it applies to this game, and every other one I've pre-ordered from Dick Smith, just make sure it's in store =)

        This is not why it's not on Wii U. It's EA is pulling the plug on the Wii U dude to it's dismal sales and marketshare. Funny enough it's coming to Wii and 3DS.

    It's not a poorly advertised advantage. The actual offer is $10 off when you pre-order so $59.98 is the actual pre-order cost.

    The loophole which used to allow customers to get $10 off twice ($20 all up) was closed after The Last of Us advert wording.

      You really should go next gen, even if your mostly a SP gamer, almost everything is better on next gen, better graphics, more people to game with, controllers more intuitive

        I have no reason to go next gen, the two main uses of my PS3 is Fifa/NHL and some fighting games, and the PS3 media server, because they decided for some stupid reason to get rid of DLNA support, media servers dont exist so there is literally no point in me going out and spending 400~ on a PS4.

      Read the T&C for the JB hifi voucher. Pre-orders are excluded. Yes the price will remain the same on launch, but theres no guarantee youll get your vanguard DLCs

      Only issue with this is that I'm pretty sure DSE charge your credit card immediately after you confirm the pre-order which isn't good for some people who can't afford it immediately.

    ok, so during my lunch break, I've been to dicksmith, jb and EB

    dicksmith said they were out of pre-orders, fair enough, ppl have been sayin this as well

    went to EB, they said they only stock the limited edition, which is $99, so they can't pricematch

    went to JB, they said they only take a $10 deposit for pre-orders, so they can't gaurantee how much it'll be when the game actually launches..

    so…no preorders placed today…

    Hi, Dick Smith Employee here.

    Yes, Dick Smith do a promotion where if you pre-order a title, you are entitled $10 off the price the day you collect it. What happens is you will be sold an item using a preorder code; so on the receipt will look like (I have not heard of an end date for this promotion, but they have been doing it for a while):

    YG10xxxPREORDER

    When you come to pick up the product, This code is refunded and sell a new code:

    YG10xxxOFFER

    which is $10 off the normal price/normal code YG10xxx.

    One thing to note, from previous experiences, don't leave your preorder til the day before or really close to the release date. Sometimes we don't receive said items until the day of release and they go by how many preorders we had several days before. One example was the Diablo 3 expansion on PC. 3 days prior to launch we had like 1 or 2 preorders, the day before it went to about 15. We got sent 3 copies for 15 preorders.

      EB games I went to (Box Hill) used the excuse that their version was the Vanguard version so they wouldn't price match Dick Smith.

        Went to Big W. They will be selling Destiny for $74. They price match. I asked them if they would match the Dick Smith price and their excuse was that the Dick Smith catalogue has a release date of 25 Sept for Destiny so, they would price match it after 25 Sept…and because Big W won't be taking pre-orders, only at the $69.98 price. LOL.

      EB games i went to (knox) said that they cant pricematch preorders, they can only price match when the game comes out. So they would only be able to price match when DSE goes up $10.

      Jb hifi also used the excuse of the vanguard edition
