@TRENT86, Do you get up at 3 am or you go to bed late in the morning? Nice to see a bargain-keeper at work while we all are away…

    • +6

Yeah im a night owl dude :)

  • Now if only Amex had a 20% 'credit' offer ($20 back for $100 spend)! Oh well still a great bargain!

Haven't seen or recall if DSE have any cashback affiliation. Only points to get is go through Westfield to get Virgin Velocity. Can't be bothered with VV, earning through QFF and pick and stick is the strategy.

https://onlinemall.qantaspoints.com/ won't work either. DSE left EDR a few years ago.

<s>Will the Dad's Day $20 off for 99 spend still work with the Get20Back code? Oops it is the same thing.</s> Hmm how would it work on that if it's only $79 to start? Need to find something for $20. Maybe a giftcard? Probably excluded. Nope, seperate website, damn. And $4.95 postage.

Ah calling cards! If you need filler and make Intl calls http://www.dicksmith.com.au/mobiles-wireless/calling-cards

Other filler is $30 of two mini speakers http://www.dicksmith.com.au/moshi-double-bass-burger-black-d…

Fitbits and Polar Loops, $109 save $50 (from $159 but it's really only around $129) http://www.dicksmith.com.au/polar-loop-activity-monitor-dsau…

    Polar H7 HRM strap $99 now $79 http://www.dicksmith.com.au/health-fitness/polar-h7-hrt-rate…

  • Did an order and PayPal page and it's $4.95 for postage, so no free delivery. Chose free store pickup.

    • +1

Depends on what you order, the product page will say if it has free delivery or not. Eg. The 2tb drive is free delivery.

Think it's on orders over $99. Mine is $93.93. Weighing up whether to find something else to tally order over $99 and pickup (hopefully within 48 hours, so Friday) or wait for delivery, probably Monday or Tuesday. Ugh.

Edit: oops $88.99 after they add on tax then take off the $20. Sneaky how the list prices are ex-GST. Misleading. I smell ACCC wrist slap. So a 'Kindle for $59' is actually $71.82 at checkout. Moshi speakers: 29.98 are really 27.25 with 9.91 tax for 108.98 total.

        • +1

You sure? I've an item in my basket, added the coupon and in the final checkout page it shows the same price with GST included. I didn't try the Kindle, though.

        • +2

As DSE are a retail company, they aren't allowed to quote ex GST prices… I think you've got something wrong!

        • @ryang: Thanks, that's what I'm thinking. Could be a PayPal with DSE bug.

        • Had no problems ordering the WIFI Kindle last night. $99 at the checkout, with $20 discount = $79 for local store pickup. Waiting for their email on this to get the order.

    • I grabbed the $79 2Tb last week (Mon before lunch). All their services seem to be after-hours. They didn't ship until 30hrs later, and the courier made no attempt to deliver - left a card & text to say it's at the post office (at end of day)… which is in the same building as Dick Smith.

      Order: Mon
      Sent: Tue
      Drop @PO: Wed
      Earliest PickUp: Thu

Didn't know whether to DERRRR or GRRRRR!!

  • +2

nah guys the stuff that includes delivery will say delivered, there are some in post

  • Ugh, could be a bug from changing to Click & Collect. Now it's saying $88.98, the real final honest total. Hmm.

    Works now. Thanks.

Edit: in PayPal checkout it had my home address as shipping, but now in fixed version it's got the DSE collection store. Probably what the prob was.

  • Ah if only it didn't exclude prepaid mobile products. Was tempted to pick up a Nokia 630 to try out the new Windows Phone.

    • -6

      Windows phone is bad.

  • I'm thinking about purchasing the Seagate Expansion 2TB for my Wii U (extra storage). Any problems with using this model?

  • +1

just ask officework if they can pricebeat the kindle paperwhite wifi and they can't do it :(

  • Got the Seagate Expansion 2TB, bought on the weekend for 79.— delivered, today as a replacement of a 2TB disk on its way out.
Have installed it already and connected through the router (only free USB connection left). Works fine, no problem. Online tracking was always correct.

  • Hmm, that Canon PS SX50HS weight seems to be wrong. On the DSE site it says 310g, which sounds great, yet on the Canon Australia site it says 580g. Not as light as hoped :/

    • +1

That will just be a dick smith Mistake, there are lots of typos on products on their site
