With that price you can buy VideoCamCorder already.

Does this actually project at all, or is it just the reflection that is seen in the windscreen?

Also, the regular price is total BS.

    • no its just a reflection. cars with real hud have a special coating on the glass where the reflection is to reflect it back at the driver. you can apparently use a patch of window tint to get a similar result but thats also illegal

    • Pretty sure just a reflection, see http://www.aliexpress.com/item/overspeed-warning-HUD-GREEN-b…

Pretty pointless really unless your speedo is broken.

    • Lol RRP of $475.63. Tell 'em they're dreaming.

Hey OP; got any jousting sticks?

or you can just use an app on your smartphone

  • I personally use sygic's HUD function on an android phone. Much more useful than this (at least for me personally).

I like the coffee symbol - obviously it is able to detect low levels of caffeine in the driver….

  • Navier does pretty much whatever this does…for free.

I'm very interested to work out how they've determined it can operate at minus 400 Celsius, a temperature that doesn't exist…

    • +3

Hence you cannot prove that it doesn't work at minus 400C :)

    • it think it's just a typo for the degrees symbol. -40°C to 80°C, I don't think it will operate at 80 degrees though, a lot of ruggedised stuff we use in the Pilbara only rated to 65..

    • +2

      I'm fairly certain it won't operate at 800c either…

    • Meh a common copy/paste problem where the second 0 was probably superscript to make it a degree symbol.

  • I quite like the concept.
