This is a great little Air Con. I got the B version "F-AR09FSSS B WK1" as opposed to this (I assume newer version C) "F-AR09FSSS C WK1" in Jan 2014 at HN. The cost was $799 with a $100 credit via Samsung EFTPOS thing. IE. Overall cost was $699.

That being said, I think you can bargain down the $899 price at HN to a lower one and ALSO get the $100 AND the tablet. The $100 kinda depends on if it is HN giving out the voucher or Samsung doing it though.

Whatever the case, the Samsung Air Con is awesome. Very quiet. The Wifi is good but occasionally needs you to turn off/reset the whole air con if you were stuffing around with your router to reestablish connection but it is fun to be able to turn on your air con (or heating) remotely when you are leaving work.

anyone know what's new in the 'C' model over my 'B'? Can't seem to find anything about it so far.

FYI, installation was $1,450 to install the two I purchased (and installed) at the same time. Vic address.

    • I heard Samsung air con won't last?

Had 2 in house for over 4 years and 1 problem because of power outage form lightning and the service was awesome they came out fixed it in 2 days no questions asked

      • I have samsung reverse cycle no problem.

    • I bought the B version also from the Goodguys deal last time. I will buy a C version (hopefully) today. In true OzB spirit, a few things in my favour:

      1. $100 cashback
      2. 2,500 bonus AMEX points on a minimum $500 spend (from the AMEX Network)
      3. The Galaxy Tab 4

And I will try to negotiate the price down to $800 (cheapest delivered deal per an internet search). Note: I paid $780 for the B version back in Jan 14. Have also found the "going" rate for a back-to-back install on brackets is around the $650 mark in VIC. If anyone knows cheaper, let me know!

  • it's best to register your products online so all warranty info is easy to access for them then it's a breeze

Upon seeing this deal I got curious and went to check out what kind of advancements have been made to the new Tab 4 10.1 (and a few other competitors) compared to the Tab 2 10.1 that I bought around 2years ago, and I must say that it's not the upgrades that caught my attention, but the resolution, it has the exact same resolution (1280x800, ~149ppi) :\

    • +1

Yeah and yet its much cheaper than the tab 3

You need to look at the tab S

The normal tab seems to be a continuation of low end specs

      • +1

Yeah I realized, with other competitors such as asus and sony having 1080p tablets with better specs under 400 every now and then really disappoints me when i see a 10" tab with such a resolution

  • i am quite interesting on this Samsung C2.5kW H3.2kW Reverse Cycle Air Con for $899 @ Harvey Norman, but i don't see where is shows i can get $100 gift card? anyone has a link?

    • When I went to the link in the OP's post there was a flashing thing that talked about a $100 ?ColdCash? card of some sort. I didn't click through though.

      • thanks. let me do a check

    • Just went to Harvey Norman, showed the ad on appliance central: which is $800

      http://appliancecentral.com.au/shop/index.php?route=product/…

The sales guy said yes he can price matched it but there would be NO $100 cashcard offer.

I told the guy that I am going to Masters to have them price beat it by 10% ($720), the guy just said he cannot give me for that price…….

Well I guess need to go to Masters see if they will price beat it.

      https://www.masters.com.au/product/101203034/samsung-2-5-3-2…

not sure this is the same model that will give you the free tablet (F-AR09FSSSCWK1)? it doesn't say what the model number is on that webpage.

  • Masters sell samsung model (F-AR09FSSSCWK1) for $869, i got it pricebeat 10% to appliances central ($780) to $702 and claim samsung galaxy tab 4 10.1, good bargain

    • the model (F-AR09FSSSCWK1) i found on appliances central is $800, how did you find the $780?

  • sorry i got it wrong is 10% of $800 become $720, $780 is the price of (F-AR09FSSSBWK1), AR 5000 is (F-AR09FSSSCWK1)

  • Got the 3.5kw from Harvey for 949.
With the cash back and the tab, sweet deal. Thanks OP.

  • Has anyone claimed the tab yet?
Haven't heard back still after registering. 10 days now.
Tracking states the claim is registered.

  • mine is the same, maybe it's processed after promo ended
