Looking for decent GPS under $100

Hi All

I need to buy a GPS over the weekend, haven't owned one for years so looking for some advice, no current deals on here and cheapest I can find is Navman Move30 for $79 but feel like I could find cheaper, does anyone have any advice or know of any on special at the moment ?

Thanks in advance,

Slippy.

  • Do you need it for regular use?
Your smartphone might be OK if its occasional/casual use at a better price. I had a Navman (not the Move30) about 18 months ago for a week and it frustrated me so much I took it back and paid the extra $100 for a TomTom. Downside is I will need to pay for map updates in the future whereas a Garmin would have had lifetime maps.

Depends what you actually want/need in the device. Just because its cheap doesn't mean it's good value if it isn't fit for purpose.

    • Hi toristo,

Its for everyday 5 days a week, I have moved onto the road for work.

Cheers for the advice, my friend gave me an old garmin nuvi 250 but it only will charge with genuine garmin usb and its 30 dollars, plus map upgrade is 99. so looking for brand new one. PS it will charge but device goes into data transfer mode as soon as USB is connected, so cannot be used while charging.

  • What about that one?

No special features but has a 5 inch display. Might be a con, though, depending on the size of your windscreen.

    • That looks perfect, thanks for sharing !! Ill check some reviews on it

      • I have that and pretty good for the money. Please note that it doesn't have multi-point journey (you can only set 1 via point) or live traffic. Also, being 5" gives a good view of the map.

I bought it when it was around $80 on special. No special offers around now.

  • Buy this Nokia Lumia 630 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/159923 for $84 and get one of the best navigation (offline) with Nokia Here+ Drive or Bing maps if you use data.

    • thats a good idea, I have a note but it gets heavy usage on road also tetheing to ipad and lots of calls so wwanting a dedicated unit that can just punch in when on the run and running late…

I think I might go with this, https://www.jbhifi.com.au/gps-car-audio/navman/navman-move-5…

Will grab the $50 gift card to get the 20% off that $93 so pick it up for $74.

      What do you guys think

      • You don't have any special requirements so I reckon it will be fine

  • This looks a higher spec for $5 more Ezy250LM $79 with the current discount code
