    Uhh…this isn't a deal, it's the standard price.

But anyway, the leather bound case for the 2 games, the artbook and the extra separate case for Bayonetta 1 altogether cost about an extra $35 relative to EB/JB's price (possibly more if you can get the 2 games for cheaper). That being said, as a collector's item, it'll definitely go up in value once there are no more left.

Btw OP, the Australian version IS the special edition package, but using only one case, not two (the same as in the US).

    • Worth noting that the official wording is "special 3D embossed leather-effect packaging", which sounds an awful lot like 'fancy cardboard' to me. Maaaaaybe pleather if you're lucky.

Amazon UK is currently selling the regular version for £31.85 (works out to $55 shipped for me in Perth). I think they're probably talking about the standard, non-Bayonetta-1 edition, but the product description says 'includes Bayonetta 1', so you might have a chance at kicking up a stink and being upgraded to the version with both games once they update their store pages. I'm getting my pre-order in just in case (can always cancel it anyway). Means you'd be paying $60 extra for a box and a skimpy little art book with the Game special edition :P

    • Any proof the Australian version is the special edition? retailers (Amazon) even in UK are still showing the error the normal version comes with 1, its just Nintendo doing poor PR. Even EB games box looks badly photoshopped.

    • That being said, as a collector's item, it'll definitely go up in value once there are no more left.

I guess time will tell, but collectors edition games aren't what they used to be and I'd be surprised if this gains value at all.

This won't be available in stores here, its exclusive to Europe

    • Game UK ships to Australia for 4.95 GBP and it looks like OP factored that in already.

      • Yeah I was just referring to this

Limited edition most likely be exclusive to EB ($150-180?)

Yep not coming to Australia. It would have been $99 like mario kart 8, hyrule warriors and Windwaker if it was. $180 seems like a stretch.

Why do you mention that the normal edition does not come with Bayonetta 1.
http://www.nintendo.com.au/nintendodirect at at 23:24 indicates that the 79.95 au packaged version will include both a disc for Bayo 1 and Bayo 2. Futhermore AU Nintendo Twitter confirms it https://twitter.com/NintendoAUNZ/status/507706138516013056
The UK has the original Solus version which only has Bayo 2, but our original version is similar to the US one which has both discs.

It might be a deal for the price, but its not right to say that the normal version does not come with Bayo 1.

  • Only the Solus edition comes without the first game. It is $80 retail here for both games.

  • hmm should I get this one, or wait for some Australian one?

    • The first print edition won't be available here

  • A good way to avoid the GST, but GAME refuses to remove the VAT from overseas purchases. They charge it even though they don't have to. Their response is you can claim it back at your local tax office or through customs. Has anyone been able to do that here? And how?
