  • Time to stock up

  • Nice price, i'm going to stock up as well.

  • Expiry date? I bought some from GBO in Broadway for $1. It expires in one month's time.

    • The toothpaste from GBO come with mouthwash.. its hmm say quite strong for a tooth paste. Atleast you know its working compared to the $1 Colgate ones from Vietnam.

      • +1

Yeah… that's not the definition of 'knowing it's working' when it comes to toothpaste.

It's more the definition of 'knowing something isn't quite right'.

If you haven't tried the Oral-B Pro-Health Clean Mint toothpaste before and are planning to stock up, be aware that this product may cause the skin inside your mouth to peel to the extent that you discontinue use (happened to me). Links where others complain about the same problem:

Also, the toothpaste has a grainy/gritty texture (kind of like a facial exfoliating scrub), which may not appeal to some.

    • Happened to me :(

It's not just Oral B toothpaste though, there's a couple that make the skin peel.

    • Happens to me. Never again.

      Colgate from now on

  • +1

Yeah its not a pleasant taste buy one first then if you like it go back and buy the rest

  • Yeah the fresh mint is way nicer. What's the sensitive one like?

    • +1

Thanks a lot OP. Bought several from the Brisbane CBD Store, both variety. Expiry on sensitive+whitening paste is Jan 2015, on normal its March 2015. Made in Germany.
Sensitive paste is a opaque white gel, no gritty crystals, much like the original basic Colgate Total.

Tried Sensitive tonight. The foam has a slight "bad" taste at the back of my mouth that makes me want to spit it out as soon as I'm done brushing. I suspect this is because of the 'whitening' compounds.

The normal one is pretty good, leaves a nice strong minty airy taste afterwards and no bad taste.

I bought this previously from Coles when it was $2 thinking it was an awesome deal, but I'd probably think twice about buying it again. It's not crap, just not great and not as good as its usual price suggests.

Agreed with the grainy texture which I don't particularly like.

Girlfriend has also tried it and she said she sometimes gets this strange wax-like layer that settles on her gums which doesn't happen with the Colgates we use.

Not upvoting because of the product, but relative to normal price it's a decent price. Some people might like it I guess.

  • Does anyone know where is it manufactured?

    • +1

The one I bought (about a month ago, from Coles) was made in Germany.

  • Bought a bunch tonight, use by March/April 2015, manufactured Germany

  • The reason it has a grainy texture is because it contains stannous fluoride rather than sodium fluoride, which is supposed to be better for your oral health.

  • Got enough to last me till the expiry date.

Apparently it also won product of the year (toothpaste) 2014.

Anybody experienced the skin peeling yet?

  • I posted a similar deal previously for the whitening ones.
Had a bit of the peeling and felt that the toothpaste really did not work well. Surprised that they are winning awards. Perhaps the voting is done in 3rd world countries when these are given free.

    I wont use these again.

  • I was going to post about free samples 28gm ones at most dentists but decided not to haha, I've got around 10 free samples ;)

  • Seen the Desensitizing and whitening version, expiring this month, in Brisbane for $1
