What physical shops to buy new sunglasses?

As an ozbargainer, finding a good deal online is easy when it comes to a majority of things, exceptions are for things you need to try on. So since misplacing/losing my sunglasses, I need a new pair so please hit me up with your recommended stores.

I live in Brisbane southside and work near the CBD so getting to these central locations is not an issue.

  • My wife tried some at sunglass hut and then I bought the chosen ones at iframes.com.au.

  • No brainer. Sunglass hut. Two things worth remembering. If you buy them via their Myer concessions they usually offer discounts (more then their stand alone stores anyway) and sunglass hut offer a no quibble breakage protection so if you just have a fragment left of your original sunnies after sitting on them they'll give you 50% off your next pair.

They should. They're owned by the manufacturer. I like to go showrooming at SGH then I buy onkine. Rather pay 50% or less on the first pair then the second.

I bought my last pair of sunnies (Pradas) for $225 delivered. SGH wanted $500 and wouldn't move on price.

Cancer Council polarised sunglasses. Best $30-50 you'll ever spend and the best $100s you'll ever save too. Cancer council sunnies have their lens made by the same company as the hot shots (Luxotica). You might not get the same 'fashion' look but they have a lot of styles usually. Also, they are pretty good for your eyes.

I think Target, Sunglasses hut and other dept. stores should stock them. You can also buy them off the online sunglasses hut with free shipping I think.

Currently own the Bondi wayfarer-like glasses.

    • I rate the cancer council sunnies.

  • Thanks everyone, I will look into your recs!
