EB Games Preowned WII Console $38, 3x Preowned WII Remote Controller $45

110

I know it is last generation console with mediocre graphics and most of you WII fans now moved on to WII U. But this last generation console is still going strong because it offers fun for the entire family.

The preowned WII Console which comes with one remote controller and one nunchuck is now reduced to $38. This comes with 3 months warranty. I bought this from EB games during last Christmas for $49 and I think that's the cheap and best money I spent on gaming. I am not a serious gamer but love to play with friends. You can do an easy softmod and use it as a media player or connect it to your non-smart TV and browse internet or watch youtube.

Also the pre-owned WII remote controllers are on 3 for $45 sale. You can use them with your WII U as well I guess.

      The consoles? Yes.
      The controllers? Depends on store.

  • You could also get the Wii Classic Controller rather than Wiimotes.

    https://ebgames.com.au/wii-139029-Wii-Classic-Controller-pre…

    • you need the wiimote to use the classic controller, so you'll have to buy both

      • The Wii comes with a Wiimote doesn't it?

        • yeah it does

sorry, it sounded like you said that you can swap the wii remote with the classic controller

  • is it hard to softmod one of these? maybe they're got the older type of wii which could run gamecube games

    • no it is incredibly easy.. google is your friend, but basically it's download the program, copy it to SD card, then follow the instructions and it's done.

the only complication is if you want to set up virtual NAND etc. on a USB HDD so you can play WiiWare titles etc. then you need to do some reading and configuration. But if all you mainly want to do is run backups of your original discs, so they don't get scratched.. then it's very, very easy to do.

    • Very easy to softmod with just an SD card.

"Most of you Wii Fans now moved on to WiiU".
Sale numbers would beg to differ. :P
Not a bad price though so it gets a plus from me.

      Yeah its dead and buried.

  • Watch out for the Wiimotes as they may not be Nintendo branded.

    • And also heads up that some of the older wii-motes might not be the "Motion Plus" model with the additional sensor to capture "more complex motions".

      • I am sure the ones that comes with this console aren't motionplus controllers. But they are only few games that requires motionplus and you can buy the motionplus extension for cheap on eBay or Tmart.

A good machine to check out the massive glut of shovelware titles that have appeared on this console for a good night's laugh.

  • Nice and cheap for a party extra playing ten pin bowls

I just purchased Wii (original) and Balance Board/Wii Fit for $38 + $21 at Jesmond NSW. Last Balance Board. There was some dispute as to price for console (wanted to charge $48, but honoured the $38 when I called the store this morning). Just checked then and the price is $48 online. Mark as expired?

Now let's hope it works! Gonna use this guide for softmod - does look intimidating though:
