AirAsia to KUL from $119 and Bali from $119 (from All Ports)

110

Before I start, Availability has never been fantastic with AirAsia, but MEL-KUL seems to have the best. Just use Adioso, but I dont think they go to deep into the travel period. http://adioso.com/au/australia-to-kul.html

MEL/OOL/PER to KUL $119

  • Pretty good deal esp if you missed out on the previous Air Asia sale. Looks like there are plenty of dates available from Melbourne:

    • Hihi,

Yup - for those routes we should look approx 1 year into the future, so we'll have the full index of all days with the cheap fares.

      Happy hunting!

      Fenn.

  • to go from syd-kul would i be better off going to melbourne first?

what problems could you see with me doing a shifty and going via cheapo melbourne?

    • get an early $28 Tiger flight, and make sure there is a decent layover, and mabye 1 tiger flight during that layover if there is a problem. So sydneysiders could go MEL-SYD-KUL with some baggage and pick seats for around $200 each way

      • cheers. I see the syd to KL flights are $1k+ ?

Would there be baggage restrictions past the usual? I want to bring a 65 = 10L backpack

        • AirAsia and Tiger are both 15kg of checked baggage per person included from memory, though you can pre-purchase extra baggage quite cheaply (just make sure you PRE purchase it). I think it's about $18 for 20kg on AirAsia.

          There's info here: http://www.airasia.com/site/au/en/page.jsp?reference=D7fligh…

(tho the page is a bit confusing)

          • @adiosofenn: No check-in luggage is included in the price of tickets. You can purchase lots of 15kg, 20kg etc. 15kg is the sweet spot, jump to 20kg and it goes up heaps!

  • I dont see any perth to bali flights for 119

seems like regular pricing to bali and discounted ($100 aud was cheapest I saw) back to australia?

cheapest I found was $530 return for 2 people. Good but not awesome :)

  • Booked my missing leg (that I couldn't in the last sale) 24 hours ago before this post was up! You really need to be in front of a computer regularly to get these seats!

I just checked to see if anything was happening. Got Kul-Mel for AUD150. So now I've got 3 return trips to KL and then onwards fully booked! Average = $300 per person per trip all-in (including a few tickets I probably won't be using.)

My computer's cookies tell Airasia I'm in Malaysia so I always get the cheaper tickets coming back :)

  • Just checked and it's now AUD80. Oh well, It's been incredibly cheap overall, though!
