  • Will that code work for something else?

    • i guess not. The code is specifically for this soundbar in the newsletter.

I used to own the model under this (SBX-300) but had to return it from very bad 'chuffing' from the subwoofer.. seeing it was a design issue and not a faulty unit i would assume this model would suffer from it too.

note: this was only noticeable when playing music (not TV shows) above halfway

  • I have had this soundbar for 3 months now. The wireless connectivity has been great and being able to access YouTube directly from the soundbar has been very convenient. Originally bought this for $229 from Dicksmith when they had their specials in June. Would recommend this soundbar.

  • What is it with these soundbars, no HDMI inputs for DVD or gaming…so Amp still required

    • Would the soundbar work with a ps4, or is there an issue because there is no HDMI inputs?

Most Sub-$700 soundbars are lucky to have 1 HDMI with ARC (like this one), you need to go up to the $1k range to get built in amp features like multi input.

So no, your PS4\XBOX needs to go into the TV, and the TV sound goes out to the soundbar.

Was about to sell my speakers and amp to get a soundbar, now have to decide if I want to spend $1200 on a top end soundbar or keep my amp. May end up keeping the amp as it has am\fm radio and far more sound processing options. So TV, DVD, XBOX and HTPC into the amp, and the ARC going to the soundbar.

        • Great, thank you for answering that in detail.
I have been looking around a bit and it seems that for a product of this quality, 250$ is a very good price.

      • Would the soundbar work with a ps4, or is there an issue because there is no HDMI inputs?

        this soundbar has optical input.

  • Would this work well as a stereo playing music via bluetooth? Because I am looking for a bluetooth speakers/dock for my room to play music off my iPhone/iPod and with the this discount, this seems like a bargain.
