Only tcl and Sony has Android os from all mainstream tv manufacturers. Hisense, Samsung, and lg uses thier own crappy in-house os.
I would take LG’s OS over google’s any day of the week. My Google TCL is only a year old and regularly crashes and lags.
my TCL is fine but I'd stick a google TV or fire stick on there for a cheap fix
That's probably because you're comparing a budget TV brand and comparing it to an LG.
It's got nothing to do with the Android OS, but rather the hardware.
@Harold Halfprice: Both brands have budget and more premium models. You’d want to compare within the same tier.
@Harold Halfprice: 100% Dependant on TV. My in-laws got an LG few months ago, just one of the cheaper QNED tvs. The OS is already unusable, crashes randomly, app store takes 50 years to open and so laggy to switch between apps, even noticed a delay when clicking on any button as well.
My parents got the G4 OLED almost 2 years ago and the OS is snappy and quick. I've been using a Sony oled and the OS is still as quick as the day we first bought it. So yeah, can't compare budget TVs with the higher end models as well.
Vidaa OS is not great :(

Every hisense tv ive ever bought no natter how expensive has had shadow ghosting…. so bloody annoying.

A common problem with Hisense is that they lose HDMI connection ramdomly. Never getting another Hisense.
