$149 3DS XL Kmart Pacific Fair QLD Clearance

500

I was wandering through Kmart Pacific Fair when I saw these bad boys on clearance for $149. I shopped around and all other stores still doing bundles and single for around the $250 mark.
I asked if they had any other colours in stock, which they didn't (last one in stock). She called around a few stores on the Gold Coast and none of them had any stock left so hopefully there will be a few of them left out there for you guys.

Happy hunting.

Was $99 on clearance months ago. I believe near none left in Australia.

    • These are probably from the stores that weren't doing the promo, though I doubt there's many of them.

Actually when the $99 clearance was on a few months ago the red model was specifically excluded. This store did have the blue and grey on clearance for $99. I personally got the last grey model the pacific fair store had. There were also able to transfer a blue model in from another store. Was really impressed by the customer service at Kmart. Of course at the time of $99 clearance there was no new model announced. Is Red worth $50 more, especially now its confirmed to be an outdated model very soon?

I managed to get all colours for the price when I matched it with target. Bought a number of the 3DS and my conclusion is aim for the grey if you planning to use gateway card.

"none of them had any stock left so hopefully there will be a few of them left out there for you guys." Not sure I follow :)

    • Sorry, none of the stores she called on the Gold Coast I mean. Hopefully some left in other Kmart stores across Oz so others can nab these. Sorry Goldie people :(

They have them for the same price at Kmart Kearneys Spring (Toowoomba)

  • Could you post a receipt?

  • Not enough quantity is there? 1 store had 1 in stock.

As said before all Kmarts cleared these out a while ago. I am guessing this Kmart probably found an extra one somewhere.

Is it being discontinued for the New 3Ds or is it just being cleared out at K-mart? I noticed my local K-mart Nintendo range has shrunk from an entire shelf to less than a third of a shelf.

    • I want to say it is being discontinued, would be interesting if Nintendo was telling distributors already to offload stuff. But tbh that doesn't make too much sense with ORAS and Smash coming right around the corner. It's probably more like DSE when they started offloading all their Nintendo stuff (Wii U, 3DS', etc).

  • Thre is a new model coming out, new games will not be backwards compatible with the oldr models on clearance.

Out of stock Hornsby, Chatswood, Burwood, Ashfield, and Castle Hill (NSW). Thanks for sharing though op, but it looks like it'll be like looking for a needle in a haystack, customer service commented that "they haven't stocked them for a while". Presumably after the last deal :P

    • why buy this?

when a new 3ds soon to be released…

      • Because new 3DS will cost around $100 more than this. Same reason why people buy one gen old techs?

        • it might be, but then it will support new games as well
and it would be easier to control the camera in older games

maybe wait till christmas, it might have a bundle

      • Depends whether or not you think the n3DS will be worth the wait + price. It will definitely be $200-$250+, seeing as the XL is priced at that point normally. And at this point we only know Xenoblade is a game exclusive (if we look at something like the DSi that didn't really have many exclusives either).

  • It's more like Kmart got fined for street breaking Nintendo games and cleared out of their gaming stuff to get back at them …

    • Actually it was because they wearnt selling, Kmart decided to swap out 3dsxls with the 2ds bundles since they were cheaper.

  • Checked my local and they don't stock any 3DS or DS or their games. Just PS, XB, Wiis and their breathen.

  • Kmart in Eastland VIC doesn't have any.

  • It doesn't have anything to do with breaking street dates. They are clearing out on portable gaming (ds and psp). All the new plan stores won't stock the ds games and old fleet stores will eventually stop selling them as well. That's why the consoles have been marked down - to clear out the existing stock in stores. If stores have the stock long enough they might drop down from $149 but I wouldn't bet on it.

Picked up a PSP Street yesterday for $79 @ K-Mart Hyperdome. QLD. Around 4 left at the time.

    • Thats expensive for a psp.

  • Unrelated, but at a garage sale on the weekend I got a box full of:
    2 DSiXL's
    1 DSi
    1 Gameboy Colour
    1 Gameboy advance SP
    2 3DS's
40-50 DS games, and 3 3DS games including Mariokart 7 and Mario 3D Land.

    All for 20 bucks.

Truly, the biggest bargain is Garage Sales.

    • You got lucky. The garage sale near where I live had PS3 500gb super slim model for $300! That is $1 more expensive than brand new in a retail shop. What a joke!

There was also a Wii-U Premium box for 20 bucks!

……But there was a regular Wii inside :(

    • Sure it wasn't stolen gear?

    • Would you be able to sell me a 3DS?

    • Bargain.

I'd hate to be the parent who "accidentally" sold his childrens gaming stuff (if it were the situation at a garage sale).

    • Hey. Are you interested in selling one of the 3ds consoles? My toddler just took his brothers swimming in a puddle. :(

  • Guys do you recommend me getting one of the 3ds xl at this price now? or should I wait for the new one next year?

    • if you can get it for $149 get it now. But if you can wait not to play super smash bros and have $250+ for the new 3DS then wait.

    • wait…

if they release some better games later, it might not work..or supported..

so the second analog allows better camera control on older games..

and they probably will drop the price during xmas or give a bundle
