My car Rego is due for 23/9/2014. I won't be renewing the rego since the cost for pink slip is greater than the actual cost of the car. I want to use the car on the 23/9/2014 and then get rid of it on the 24/9/14.
Text from RMS" Your rego for vehicle XXXXXX is due on 23/9/2014. Please visit rms.nsw.gov.au/renewrego to renew online. You can also visit a registry or call 13 22 13."
My question is:
Am i still able to drive it on the 23/9 or is it expired on 23/9?
I am leaning towards expires on 23/9 as I was with someone who got pulled over because of unregistered car on the expiry date but police let him off
It's due on 23/9 because after that day it's expired.
So driving on 23/9 in your opinion is fine?

Just got my Qld rego papers including CTP is $665.50 for 12 months.
just renewed mine and my understanding its still registered on 23/9 and not registered on 24/9. so you set your greenslip to start on 24/9.

My car rego is due TODAY.
I drove past a few cops on freeway and not one picked up therefore I can vouch its midnight :)
as already said above its definitely until midnite on the day it expires, the 24th you will be unregistered
You should be fine to drive it on the 23rd until midnight i believe.
