I'm staying at circle on cavil, just a walk away from both!

  • You should probably hire a car. Failing that, you need to state which airport you are flying into, what you want to do, etc.

    • Coolangatta airport. Have purchased tickets to theme parks and thinking of hiring a car from the city centre just on the days we do choose to go there. (Will be going to theme parks day after day)
Just wondering if there are any events on during the long weekend?

      • Coolangatta - Get a car from the airport to Cavill Ave (City Centre) Or A taxi or a Limo, No Buses trains or trams from the Airport.

Surfers Paradise - Walking on foot is fine, everything is in one big clump on about a 2k radius. To get to the theme parks hire a car, you can get there by bus but it's prob better by car.

Theme Parks - Wet and Wild and Movie World are next to each other .. Dream wold (with white water world) are about a 10 min drive up north of movie world. Seaworld is about a 7 min drive from Centre of Surfers.

Seaworld - good to see animals, and kids under 5 might like the little rides and stuff
Wet n Wild - Best water park out of the two. Early teens would like this
Movie World - Best all round theme park, good rides and shows
Dream world - Ok theme park with Ok water park attached, The main rides are the type you shit your pants on. good for mid teens and up

Outback Whatever its called - Kids would find it boring, it's a stake dinner and horse riding show.. leave it for you and the misuses only kids will get bored.

The G (G link Tram) - This thing is brand new, good to get you from Broadbeach to Surfers Paradise.

Broadbeach - Good for dining and bars, not much for the kids if at all. Casino is here too.. self explanitory

Q1 - Big tower with a big view, cost likes 20 dollars to go to the top, if you do this do it in the afternoon so you get to see both views with the sun up and the sun down. Pretty dead place.. even to go for a drink there might be 5 other people.

Broad Water Southport - Little park and some activities for the kids to splash in the water. Cheap relaxing day sort of thing

Shopping - Robina Town Centre Only. Pacific Fair is getting an upgrade and is a ghost town. Australia Fair is lost in the 80s somewhere. Harbour town is ok for Factory Prices.

Thats all I can remember off the top of my head!
        Enjoy!

        • Thanks a lot for your help! Going to decide on transportation as we arrive at the airport.
We have decided to hire a car just for the days we are going to drive up to the theme parks from our apartments. Have booked in to movie worlds "fright night" to whiteness that on the friday night. (supposably scary mazes, shows, characters, cool drinks and desserts)
Booked dinner at the four winds restaurant (360 revolving), so will get to eat, drink and enjoy the views.
Head over to the gun range in the shopping centre, do a bit of shopping and just relax.

@Puska: I just caught the bus, I think it's the 777. Drops you in the middle of Surfers. Buying a Go Card makes it cheaper. This is Ozbargain, so I recommend Govindas vegetarian cafe, $10 for all you can eat :)

        • Ok thanks! My partner loves her vegetarian cafés, so she will love that deal!
