My better haft got the Canon IXUS 100IS. It takes amazing pictures. IXUS 80IS is the pre-version. I found Canon compact camera to be one of the best.
Where did you buy the Canon IXUS 100is and for how much?
Raz, I bought one at MSY for A$345 5 months ago. They only have the black one.
I bought another one for my father at CPL (A$365) at the same time. He wants the silver color so I paid 20 bucks more at CPL.
Price have dropped since.
citysoftware has a similar deal with case for $200 last week - it may still be there
Careful that its not a gray market import otherwise the warranty will not be honoured by Canon Australia.
good point - I saw a nikon camera at good price and it came with 3 months warranty back to the supplier!
i dont think that's bargan 'cause last feb i bought 5 of these still $200 ea, then got back 10% gst at the airport. i prefer the one made in Japan (i bought 5, 4 of them made in Japan, One silver made in China)

COTD have it for same price but free shipping. However, there is no camera case and 2GB memory. I guess at the end of the day … they are similar ;)

I followed the link on this thread, and the deal is still going. $199 for the camera, case and 2GB card.
So, I printed out the deal, and took it to Harvey norman to see if they could match it.
They can. They offered a crappy little Belkin case ($14.95), so I said I would pay the extra for a case that actually cost $29.95. No Kingston cards, they could offer Lexmar. I said Ok.
So she went and did her thing on the computer, which took ages, and then took me to pay. The total which somehow even included an extended warranty was $188.
Go figure. I usually despair of Harvey norman due to their customer service on returns, but this was a good deal! Try it!
