I'd say that Fitbit are trying to move some stock with the advent of Garmin's Vivofit, and the impending Apple Watch.

If you call them you can instead have 1 month of free premiums instead of the Fitbit. Might be a better saving especially for family policies.

My partner has a fitbit. Thing doesn't even record heart-rate. Useless.

  Perhaps he should have got a Vivofit with HRM, much better than buying a device that doesn't do heart and whinging about it.

i signos up for medibank recently because of the Flybuys + Fitbit promotion but they gave me an option of Gettin 1 month free instead of the Fitbit which is more value for money in my opinion . The Flybuys points (50k) will still be honored after 6 months
