Not exactly sure if this is the best deal, but it came in my email and it's a one hour only deal that starts and ends from:

  • Coupon code AUCK9S should give you another 9% off

  • +3

    this game should be $20

Your username contradicts everything… Just saying.

    • +1

      this game should be $20

Agreed. Despite the fact that a few people say that it's somewhat enjoyable; given it's widely acknowledged flaws; that's where it's gonna have to be before I bite…

  • +7

Game is great fun just do not expect an amazing story or anything overly ground breaking. But a pretty good co op game.

    • Hey mate, couldn't add you for the raid because psn invites were down, sorry about that. Hope you found others to beat it before the weekly reset.

  • +1

Freaking love this game. Great value. Pretty sure this is the cheapest.

  • +1

I wish it can be used for Shadow of Mordor, they just drop the price to $59.98!

    • You can TRY the coupon! It's sitewide 9% off.

      • the exclusion list includes gaming preorder. but I will give it a try anyway.

  • How much is gta5 ps5

    • +1

I was hoping to get GTA6 on for my PS5…

      • yer stupid fingers

  • Could this code be used for preorders of other games ? want to preorder the evil within.

    • I believe the T&C's say exclusions on Gaming Pre-Orders, but you can TRY the code. It's 9% OFF sitewide, it might glitch and you'll get lucky! No idea.

    • nah it doesn't work

  • +3

Good deal but this game isn't getting great reviews. I'll steer clear.

    • +3

It's not getting good reviews because there was TOO much HYPE. Seriously, it was just like Watch Dogs, good game to play in general. But the hype surrounding it made it seem like it should be the game of the century or something. But that's just speculation on my behalf.

      • +1

agree. really enjoy the game. far better than titanfall or killzone

  • -5

I don't get how the code brings the game down to $45. If it's 9% off, shouldn't it be $58?

    • +1

It doesn't start yet. It starts at 10:00AM. Please read description next time.

      • -2

I know, but that's not what I was asking. What I meant was, is the $45 a special price as 9% off $67 does not equate to $45.

        • +3

Okay, at 10:00AM a special deal starts for at $49 for Destiny, therefore 9% off $49 = $44.XX that's how it's going to equate to ~$45.

        • the game is not for you. do yourself a favour, go back to school.

  • -4

hmmzz.. the code seems to be invalid for me.. Anyone having the same issue?

    • read description 10-11am

  • :( if this was 360 i'd grab it ..shame it's newer consoles only

    • Previous gen gamers represent! This game is just as fine on Ps3 and 360 :D

Except when it's trying to show off bloom effects. Then it just hurts my eyes.

  • Good price !!! reviews not so good http://youtu.be/gzopWRXK_r4

    • I actually find it to be a really fun game*, and Bungie are adding more content for free. But, Activision is planning on adding more content for obscene amounts of money! Yay!

*I probably only think this because nothing has come out in 9 months.

  • Does click & collect work for this deal? Save few bucks if dse is near you

    • Yes Click & Collect is available.

  • 10:01 price tag shows $49 but added to cart it turns back to $67.98? Anyone get this work?

    • I have the same issue. I'll just keep refreshing until it works….

      • Now working.

        • All good and I used the code too. Thanks OP

    • Just keep moving through the cart and it changes to $49

  • Gotta make sure the code is all in capital letters, worked fine for me $44.59!

  • AUCK9S doesn't work with this game apparently.

    • +1

I'm using it right now. I can confirm myself that it works.

      • Maybe I need to log out…

        • You need to go to the checkout page afaik, it didn't display initially for me either

    damn it! code just expired!

    • I don't believe it has expired yet.

      • +1

The code hasn't, but the deal has.

  • Just bought it, thanks OP!

  • I just got destiny and pre-ordered Shadow of Mordor, Alien Isolation and COD for $229 delivered, pretty good deal for new releases and combining the postage for all 4 saves more cash.

  • Wish I was into FPS :(

  • Awesome, great deal thanks!

  • +1

    fark that was quick!

  • +3

Wow, first time they enforced the FIRST 100 ORDERS rule. Sorry everyone!

Reviews say this game is a flop

    • -3

News just in: Halo makers make not Halo game, internet loses mind.

Story is a load of crap, and it wastes your time forcing you to watch unskippable cutscenes. I didn't even know I had finished the story until a friend pointed it out, I just thought it was another boss fight.
      Dialogue is terrible.
      In game trading doesn't exist.
Currency system is convoluted. You can buy things with like 6 different currencies.
Once you reach level ~30 there seems to be no reason to keep playing as there are no greater items to find. ie the game is inherently capped.

There are so many flaws in the game listing them would take too long. The combat mechanics are good and the multiplayer process is well done. That said, I paid $45 for it and have spent just over 48 hours in game so <$1 hour seems like decent value for money. I'll be playing more because it is quite fun to play despite it's flaws.

I keep hearing about new exotics and legendaries from the raid all the time. I.e. automatic fusion rifle for your primary, auto shotgun for your primary. Getting to 30 is also no stroll in the park. I'd be very surprised if you got there in under 50 hours. There are heaps to keep you occupied.

Agreed on the lack of story though. Apparently the queens brother was meant to have a much bigger role as 'crow', seen in a few trailers but got taken out before release. Damn shame.

        • You are only allowed to equip only one exotic piece of armour (and one exotic weapon) at any one time. For the most part, all legendary items are the same eg I have earned 5-6 Queens helmets for my hunter, each had the same base stats but the perks were slightly different. Some speed up auto rifle reload, others scout rifle. Considering how much of a pain in the arse it is to upgrade them I just scrapped the spares. Same applies to shop items even from different vendors.

The problem with items is that they have a set of stats that fall in a defined range. So, for example, every legendary sniper will always do 400 damage (or whatever it is) regardless. This is a problem in the loot system, there is no progression. In games like Borderlands as you go up levels the loot you collect is better, makes sense as it is a reward for killing harder enemies who are harder to kill because they have the better gear. In Destiny you can spend 2 hours in a level 28 strike and only be rewarded with the same gun you picked up when you were level 1, whilst you can farm the most basic enemies with guaranteed drop of legendary or higher in a no risk environment.

In short "new exotics and legendaries from the raid" doesn't mean better but just different.

surprised if you got there in under 50 hours.

True. I'm in 44 hours on one character who is level 26. The rate of leveling after level 20 slows to a crawl.

There are heaps to keep you occupied.

There really isn't, it's just the same thing over and over.

And here's an interesting read on Destiny's loot and the psychology of players.

        • @CyberGenesys:

In short "new exotics and legendaries from the raid" doesn't mean better but just different.

Nah, raid gear is the only armor that gets you to 30. If you piss away your shards on normal leg gear you'll fall short. That's why I'm saving them at 28 while raiding as much as I can.

Most MMOs require you to repeat things. Destiny is no exception. There still is heaps to do so don't think you are anywhere close to the absolute end.

Regarding your second paragraph, they're trying to patch that sometime today or tomorrow.

        • @leonheart1:

raid gear is the only armor that gets you to 30

Oh great, so there is 'common legendary' and 'uncommon legendary' now. Good to know though. Although it still means the game is inherently capped to level ~30.

There still is heaps to do so don't think you are anywhere close to the absolute end.

What end? It's a game of repetition, there is no end. No doubt they will add more planets but it will just be more of same.

        • @CyberGenesys:

Re: both your points, they apply to almost all MMOs, maybe MMOs just aren't your thing.

        • @leonheart1: I never said I didn't like it :P

So far this has been the best value for money game I've bought for PS4.
