      Really? Did you sell ANY G19 keyboards at $198!? That and $99 for the older model when other stores are pushing the new model for a fraction more, neeegggggg!!!

        Hi Smoke87,
        Thanks for your response, maybe I need to explain some more about this model.
        The G19 that we are selling is the superseded model and originally sold RRP for about $265 or $269. We paid $255 incl GST for ours from the distributor about a year ago.
        It is no longer available from the distributor and since the G19s has been released, demand for the G19 has lowered. Hence we have a few left in stock and severely dropped the price to clear them. The other stores you speak of are in the same boat as us.
        I checked the price of the retailers offering the G19 at the lowest price on Static Ice (which was $109 first and then $123.55 second plus shipping costs on both of those sites).

        So I offered it here for $99 with free shipping. Which is really about 63% off, not including the further saving with free shipping on top. (I said 50% off last night because it was about midnight and I was tired. lol)

  I've got around $120 to spend on a Mechanical keyboard, I don't suppose someone could help me out?

  I havent used a mechanical keyboard for like 12+ years so I'm not up to date with the fancy switches, I just need a keyboard that is backlit and will be primarily used for heavy typing use (aestheticslly pleasing is a plus!).

  Would really appreciate the help :)

    If you do a lot of typing and not to concerned about gaming performance, you might like Cherry Blue keys. However, if you do a balance of both (like me) you may be better off with a Cherry brown.

    Try and go into a store where you can actually try a mechanical keyboard instead of purchasing one blindly without getting a feel for what's available first.

    I bought a Logitech G710+ blindly without trying it during the last 15% off eBay sale, and while it's an improvement over a membrane (Microsoft Sidewinder X4), I can't say it's ~$110 of improvement. :(

    But that might be because it's got brown switches with o-rings. Now I want to get MX Blues to satisfy my curiosity about whether mechanicals are just all hype or not. :P

    (pls no flame for not loving mechanical switches D: Definitely an improvement over membrane but not one that I could personally justify for the cost in hindsight)

    Blue Cherry switches are noisy but they are my preference. I use the K70 with Blue Cherry MX switches.
