      That's hilarious!

  • Have to say I'm slightly confused, as far as I am aware the X360 500GB HDD has not been released. The official Microsoft US store (whom i would expect to be the first to have it in stock) lists this as a preorder coming soon (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox360/accessories/harddrives/500…). I have been keeping my eye out for this since it was announced as i sorely need more space on my 360, however have to say I feel a little uneasy about claims of already having it in stock.

    • It is also available @ the Microsoft Store for $129.95

      http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msaus/en_AU/pdp/Xbox-360…

      • Well that is interesting did we get it before the US? EBGames, DSE and JB HiFi do not list it as a product that they carry, which i would expect them too if has been released.

        • Not sure mate,it is unusual that us Aussies would get anything before the US but the Microsoft Store doesn't mention anything about preorder & it appears to be in stock as it says it ships in 2-5 days.

          The info on the product on Mighty Ape site is as follows;

  • $54 got the 320GB one year ago. Kmart clearance

    • Yeah I got the 320GB for about $69 from JB about 12 months ago,it hasn't really dropped in price since.

  • I bought the 500GB from Amazon a couple of months ago. I still filled it up and use my old 320 HDD connected with a transfer cable as storage. Can't use the transfer cable HDD to play games, but at least I can keep data.

    • Can you still copy over select games you want? I thought you could only copy the whole drive over which gets rid of all content on the drive in the Xbox.

      • The transfer cable drive behaves exactly like the main drive except I can't play games from it. I can move any file I want.

        • Wow, did not know we could do this. A lot better than using an external hard drive only using 32GB.

    Bought one. A much better deal than $130 on the Microsoft Store website.
    Not bad at this price when you consider 500GB laptop hard drives by themselves go for about $60-70 on MSY.

    I'll probably get most of my money back when I sell the 320GB too.

    I've been dealing with the 320GB for ages. I've only got 30GB left and I hate deleting games I have bought just to make room, which I have done a lot.

    A bit goddamn late on Microsofts part, but a needed accessory nonetheless for me.

      Shame they did not release a 1TB instead, or at least remove the stupid 32GB limitation on external storage.
