Dyson DC44 Animal Stick- $348 at JB-Hi-Fi in Store or Free Delivery

100

Following the underwhelming deal from BIGW everyday rewards https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/164005 where stock was not available, I found the Dyson Animal DC44 for $348 at my local JB-Hi-fi.

The next cheapest is at $398 from the good guys/HN.

Stock levels are fine you should be able to price match from good guys, harvey norman etc. for convenience. Available in Blue or Fuschia and comes with a 2 year warranty.

Also worth mentioning is the DC35 model for $288- https://www.jbhifi.com.au/whitegoods-appliances/vacuums-floo…

The dyson dc44 has top reviews and is highly recommended as a multipurpose vacuum for small to medium dwellings. Unsure of when price will revert/change as it isn't mentioned as part of a sale.

Why would u price match, just support the place that actually delivers the goods at the stated price. Wd jb after the underwhelming bigw offer.

  • Are these strong enough in suction to replace a traditional vac?

I bought a Miele 8310 at Goodguys in Rockdale for $355 a week ago and it absolutely blows away the Dyson Animal.

The owner of the shop told me that he would never recommend the DC44 as your primary vacuum cleaner unless you have a one bedroom or studio apartment, however the DC44 is the best performing / value for money handheld stick vacuum cleaner.

      • probably not that useful comparing a corded vacuum to a cordless one..

      • lol. Best Performing usually doesn't go hand in hand with value for money.
The better value for money such as DC35, which is very close in terms of performance and is $60 cheaper.

We use the DC35 exclusively in our house and it's better than a normal vacuum for our needs (but we have hard floors). The best feature is that you can just pick it up off the dock and use it so the vacuuming actually gets done regularly verses getting a vacuum cleaner out of a cupboard / finding somewhere to plug it in / unplugging it and moving it between rooms.

  • No stock for blue in sydney. Closest is Wollongong followed by dandenong.
Online says 'awaiting stock' so could be waiting a while or they could get some.

  • This or DC 59 for a small house?

  • This video gave me a good idea of its features and performance. Definitely worthwhile for those with mid to smaller houses http://youtu.be/5tfK9BoKJx0

    • No Masters stores in WA have stock, they're waiting on stock from Dyson, and despite several calls and promise of callbacks over the last two weeks - nothing.

  • is the dc44 worth an extra $60 over the dc35?

  • I got the DC44 for $337 from Bing Lee Campbelltown during the week

    For $347 with free shipping.

You can also get master's price match lol. "Yes its cheaper than them by $1"

    • I tried that site, delivery to WA is $17.00.
