Pre-Order Now: Releases on 09-Oct-14… sigh…

No it clearly isn't but that is the date dick smith has put down to try and convince people to do the "special" pre order price that ends today… Dick "heads" Smith.

Searched every other store and it is still the 20th of Nov. So just a heads up to anyone who is about to order…

Not really a deal is it…

Well, this post won't last long.

After seeing the trailers this game will likely be the one to make me go next gen.

Just keep in mind you don't have to. It's not like it's exclusive.

      • Oooh thankies, something definitely to consider there then… Im guessing the trailers stem from the next (Current?) gen platforms or a decent PC and it looked pretty, I imagine it would look considerably less on my trust xbox360…

I guess theres no real rush with DA - no multiplayer crowd to get in with before the next big title comes out.

Could probably hang out til a decent bundle package comes out for it maybe.

TO BE FAIR. I have played a few NextGen-CurrentGen games now. And let's take a look at the major differences:

Wolfenstein: The New Order: PS3/X360 version had smeared textures with long pop-in times, but roughly played the same.

Destiny: Was as similar as they could make it on all consoles, but pixelisation gets rampant over long distances. Played the same though.

Alien Isolation: PS3/X360 version hits framerates as low as 10 and as high as 30. PS4 and Xbone go much higher. Not to mention the obvious graphical difference. Can effect gameplay.

Shadow of Mordor: PS3/X360 version's Nemesis system was gimped, which is the game's major selling point.

Despite this, the gameplay and mechanics are roughly the same over all consoles, making the experience roughly the same, but this technical (and obviously graphical) difference on the consoles may be enough to sway most people. I don't regret playing these games on my PS3 however. Except Mordor. Gonna wait til I get a PS4 for that one. It's just a matter of time, a matter of exclusives, and a matter of marketshare until people start taking these consoles seriously.

So theres three titles Im looking forward to playing (been a while since I was anticipating more than 1 release - being GTA5)

Shadow of Mordor / Dragon Age and Alien Isolation.

Though I'm torn on my choice of console or whether I look at building a PC for gaming to work with my loungeroom tv…

I did own a Xbox1 for a weekend (Day 1 edition on launch) however the interface was really not to my liking, and Battlefield 4 was crashy, buggy and barely unplayable so I ended up selling it straight away)

    Isn't the release date 20/11? O.o

I am confused by this. I don't believe that release date.

    • Didn't get released aye?
