If you're a uni/tafe student yourself or know of one willing to help you out check out www.itsnotcheating.com.au and get Office Ultimate 2007 (download, perpetual license) for $75 (also able to be installed on three machines).
That's a one machine license for the itsnotcheating.com.au site
The itsnotcheating.com.au promo is a two machine licence….at least it was when I purchased it 2 years ago.
